Getting High with Tory

I was excited to watch these feats of technology come to their new base at Truax field. The 115th Fighter Wing of the Air National Guard has the mission to, "dominant combat airpower and provide agile support for domestic operations". Although news of the planes coming to Madison created controversy for issues such as loudness, they appeared no louder than the F-16s previously stationed here in my opinion.

I did not know that Air Force One is a 757 now!

Finally took a crack at editing a video. This flight was a lot of fun and probably would never happen in real life. I flew through the Bixby Bay Bridge (that one in Top Gun) in near zero visibility conditions, with a LOT of wind, and nailed it!

1. Carrier take-off San Francisco.
2. Climb out over that big storm at 31k.
3. Rapid descent over Carmel Bay. It is WINDY!
4. Missed bridge because I didn't turn autopilot off.
5. Fly through bridge and roll. Climb to 43,000 (bad weather).
6. Get denied VFR at China Lake.
7. Get close enough to request VFR and land at China Lake.

Flight 009: F-18: KNUW to USS Lincoln (CAR2). Doing some F-18E flight with a carrier landing at the end. The run is where some of the Top Gun movie is supposed to have been filmed.

Flight 008: L-39: KBFI (Seattle) to KNUW (Oak Harbor). 2nd attempt. Had to adjust some thangs.

Trying out the T-45C on a medium distance flight from Fallon to Whidbey.

Flight 003: KBAF to KLSV. Fun flight. Denver to Vegas in an F-16. I loved this flight!!!! Lots of beautiful footage of the Grand Canyon! I did a split-S over 4-Corners (CO, NM, AZ, and UT converge there). I could not undo autothrottle on landing though. Otherwise solid flight.

Top Gun: Maverick Sight Seeing!!! I saw it tonight and noticed some familiar places in the movie! I am SO STOAKED that I'm going to do a site seeing tour!

F-18 Nellis, Star Wars Canyon, China Lake NAS, LA-Inland Empire, and USS Lincoln. Haven't streamed in a LONG time. Lets see if it works.

Very first flight in the Honda Jet. Going from Greensboro to Madison, WI. Too interesting not to share. I forgot that the weather was horrible. I'm getting a head-wind that is strong. This plane is like paper in the air! I'm not crashing though.....

I just bought the Embraer Phenom 300E! This plane is my dream plane! If I came in to money, I would get one. Going from the plant in Melbourne, Florida, USA to Austin, TX, USA to Las Vegas, USA.
