Wisconsin State Representative Amy Binsfeld, Assembly District 27
Thank you to Associated Builders and Contractors for the “Building Wisconsin Award”. I’m grateful to work with them to build a better Wisconsin for the future.
I have received several inquiries on the referendum questions and the meaning behind them. I hope this helps you break down what the yes and no answers mean.
Thanks to all who walked in the Sheboygan parade! Perfect weather and a huge crowd made it even better. Thank you to all police and city crew members that make this all possible!
Enjoy celebrating your 4th of July!
Congratulations to Dogs 2 Dog Tags on their ribbon cutting! Torre has a heart of gold in serving his fellow veterans. It was great to see so many there in support of such a worthy project. Enjoyed talking with Vinny and his wife KC while there.
Today I enjoyed attending the Sheboygan County Fairest of the Fair Gala. It was wonderful to present outgoing Fairest, Jill Madson, a citation for all her accomplishments. I was honored to also meet Wisconsin Fairest of the Fairs, Kelsey Henderson. Today Elizabeth Benicke, was crowned as Sheboygan County Fairest of the fair 2024. Congratulations to all these ladies for all their hard work and dedication to our community and state!
Thank you School Choice Wisconsin!
Happy Father’s Day!
Yesterday I stopped at RCS in Sheboygan to enjoy the picnic they were having. I appreciated the time Monica, Martha, John, and Jim all took to discuss the organization. Interacting with the members was fun. I learned what they were enjoying not only at the sock hop picnic for the day, but many shared their joy to be involved at RCS. I look forward to the next visit.
Happy Flag Day!
Today we remember and honor the bravery demonstrated by Allied troops who took part in the landings in 1944.
June is National Dairy Month! Thank you to all the Farmer's in Wisconsin!
Please take the time today to reflect on those who gave their life for the freedom we share. Pray for the families that they find peace in their memories and feel honored by the community around them.
On Thursday it was my honor to speak at the Sheboygan County Law Enforcement memorial. A memorial by our local Sheriff’s office pays tribute to LeRoy Nennig Jr. who lost his life while on scene at an accident 20 years ago. I was privileged to be able to meet LeRoy Sr. (Retired officer) and Charlette, LeRoy Jr.’s widow. Thank you to all our past and present law enforcement officers and to their families who sacrifice on behalf of our safety.
It’s National Police week!
Thank you to all the brave men and women in Sheboygan and all of Wisconsin that protect us each and every day!
This past week Representative Terry Katsma and I had the privilege to tour and better understand the local Boys & Girls Club for middle and high school students. Not only was it enlightening to hear how it affects the lives of the students and staff but Terry and I were able to interact with students. Terry had fun in games of table tennis while I enjoyed several games of Otrio with Ky and Issac. Thank you Christina and all for having me!
Happy Mother’s Day!
Thank you to all of our correctional officers!
Thank you to all the teachers in Wisconsin that go above and beyond to teach our students!
Today we reflect on our country.

Good morning, Wisconsin! Today is Opening Day for our Milwaukee Brewers!
I am proud to have supported the Milwaukee Brewers deal with many of my colleagues statewide that is keeping the our team in Wisconsin!
Yesterday, Governor Tony Evers signed Assembly Bill 579 into law, marking a significant step forward in the preservation of Wisconsin's waterways and the promotion of sustainable economic development. This legislation, championed by bipartisan efforts in the State Assembly and Senate, addresses the critical issue of fill usage in commercial waterways and Great Lakes waters, safeguarding these invaluable natural resources for generations to come.
I want to thank Governor Evers for signing Assembly Bill 579 and Representative Bob Wittke who authored the bill, which will benefit the City of Sheboygan. I was proud to be a co-author on this legislation.
Assembly Bill 579 seeks to regulate and mitigate the impact of fill usage in water bodies across Wisconsin. By establishing stringent guidelines and oversight mechanisms, the bill aims to balance environmental conservation with economic activities.
The passage of Assembly Bill 579 is a testament to our commitment to preserving the natural beauty of Sheboygan's shoreline and ensuring sustainable development. By regulating fill usage in Great Lakes waters, we are safeguarding our environment for future generations while promoting responsible economic growth.
