"Josh and I met in a way that most modern love stories start: on a dating app. Our relationship became official after a magical day spent together at the Minnesota State Fair, one of our favorite places in the world. Within a month of dating, we decided to put our connection to the test with a trip to Seattle. During that adventure, Josh introduced me to the charm of Pike Place Market and encouraged me to try oysters for the very first time. Since then, oysters have become our cherished tradition. Whenever there’s something to celebrate, we make a reservation at our favorite restaurant and indulge in oysters, always taking a shell home to add to our growing collection of memories.

When it came time for Josh to propose, he secretly reached out to Brian, my beloved family member known for his exquisite handcrafted jewelry. After numerous detailed calls and emails, Brian designed my dream ring. Josh took a day off work to drive from Minneapolis to Madison and back to pick it up and thank Brian in person, all while keeping it a surprise from me. On a warm, sunny day in April, Josh proposed with my ring nestled inside a cleaned-out oyster.
