Can you recycle to-go coffee cups?
Most of it can be recycled! View each of the items below.
🍃Paper cup- Yes. Be sure to pour out any remaining liquid before putting it in the recycling.
🍃Lid- No. It is too flat and will get lost in the system.
🍃Sleeve- If it is made of paper, flattened, and clean, it is recyclable. If it's not, it goes in the trash.
Consider ditching the single-use cup altogether and bring your own. Many stores even offer a discount for reusable mugs.

As individuals, we generate nearly one pound of plastic waste per day. Reducing our plastic footprint starts with each of us committing to curb our use of single-use plastics, participate in recycling programs, reuse products when possible and support businesses that are rethinking how they use plastic.
It all starts with each one of us stepping up and making a difference. How are and will you reduce your plastic footprint to protect our waterways, ocean life and planet? Please share in the comments below so we can learn from each other and support each other on our journey. Tikun Olam, Tikun HaYam, repair the world, repair the sea.
