Hello, Habitat! Our spring fundraiser Dirt Day is this weekend on the 23rd and 24th. We will be visiting several houses in Madison and doing yard work to raise money to support our Habitat homes. Hello Habitat! Our biggest fundraiser is finally coming up this weekend. Souperbowl of 2022 will be on March 26 from 12-6pm at Madison West High School. This year’s Rake-a-thon fall fundraiser has been a success! We managed to rake 25 houses in the community adding up to 200 volunteer hours. A big shoutout to David and Bre for organizing this event. More thanks to Zach, Lydia, Shivani and all of our amazing volunteers that helped these past weekends 🕺🏽

Looking for some fall volunteer hours? Come get some fresh air and rake leaves in our biggest fall fundraiser! Rake-a-thon will be the following weekends listed and we have plenty of time shifts open. Transportation will be provided to the homes. (Any questions please reach out.)

Housing discrimination has a long history here in the United States. The aftermath of racist policies preventing Black Americans from owning homes is still felt today. There is a large homeownership gap between White and Black Americans and racist policies in our local, state and federal government are continuing to let this gap increase year by year. Habitat is looking to help close this gap by calling on congress to invest in affordable and secure housing solutions.
