Families and staff supporting music education in our school! All are welcome!
Hillside Association of Music Supporters (HAMS) is an organization of parents working to support our childrens' musical performance enjoyment by enhancing their educational opportunities. We have helped out by providing chaperones, running bake sales, and selling raffle tickets. We have provided safe risers for the chorus, chairs for the classrooms, filing systems for music, and lockers for instru

Reminder: Pie/cookie dough order forms are due tomorrow, Thursday, October 10 by 2:20 p.m. Students may hand them to their ensemble director. Late forms are accepted, however, it makes processing the orders more difficult with 200+ entries to input manually. Remember, online orders may continue up to Friday, October 18. Currently, we have raised a little over half of our total goal, but we still have time to meet the mark with one week left.
ORDER PICK UP DATE: Wednesday, November 13 from 2:35 - 5:30 p.m. Hillside Middle School Cafe. More details to come.
Thank you for your support!
Attention Hillside Band families...Mr. Redmond is inviting you to use the Band App as a convenient communication tool. You can download the app and follow instructions to join the group here:
This is just a reminder that the Hillside Music Department is having their popular Pie Fundraiser again this year! It is a perfect time to get pies and cookie dough frozen that you can have on hand for the holidays. The event has other items that can be ordered and shipped direct to homes anywhere in the country.
Your student should have brought home a large envelope with the hard copy order form. The form also contains a link or QR code that allows you to make an online store that you can easily share with friends and family on social media or through text/email.
Paper order forms are due October 10. Online orders are open until October 18.
HAMS will be reaching out soon with a sign up genius to organize volunteers to sort orders for families to pick up on Oct. 13. Stay tuned!
Just a reminder, HAMS meeting tonight at 6 p.m. via Zoom. See you there!

Congratulations to all the 8th graders that are moving on to high school! Hillside Music students and teachers were an integral part of the graduation ceremonies today. Thank you!
To say that the Hillside Music Teachers, Mr. Redmond & Mr. St. Cyr go above and beyond for their students would be an understatement! We celebrated a successful Practice-A-Thon with pizza for the Band students that practiced the most minutes in a week. And we celebrated meeting our practice minutes goal of 19,000 minutes practiced in one week by "Pie-ing" our beloved teachers in the face. The molasses, corn syrup, strawberry jam, and marshmallow fluff pies - topped with whipped cream were lovingly made and delivered by our superstar fundraiser students. The money we raised paid for our trip to the Boston Pops and other department expenses. We thank the teachers, administrators, HAMS Board, parent volunteers and everyone else that helped to make the music program at Hillside Middle School a big success this year! THANK YOU!!!
11 music students receive scholarships from Freese Brothers Big Band | Manchester Ink Link Freese Brothers Big Band scholarships for 2024 will enable 10 talented students to attend acclaimed summer music programs. An additional student received the Concord High School Freese Brothers Scholarship to help defray college costs.
Thank you to everyone that supported Hillside Music this year! HAMS was again able to take the 7th and 8th grade music students to the Boston Pops! Thanks to Mr. Redmond, Mr. St. Cyr, Mr. Doyle, Mrs. Rothe and all the chaperones that accompanied the students to the show! Thanks to the students for their excellent behavior that was noted by others attending the show. They represented Hillside Middle School in style! And it was also super special to see Hillside and Central Music Alum Roric Cunningham playing in the Pops! What a fantastic experience!!
