Good Morning from the Tri-cities Waterfollies.

John Bosserman will be taking out the boat this morning at 10:45am with our newly rebuilt LS engine. I'll be in the boat a bit later, stay tuned.

2024 Western Divisionals Hydros for Heroes Oak Harbor, WA this weekend. Cheer on the newest boat in the Raining Thunder Racing fleet the E-62 Raining Thunder.

Come out and enjoy a great community event hosted by a beautiful Town. This town and event holds dear to my heart being a Navy veteran who enjoyed part of his Navy Reserve time at NAS Whidbey Island.

So enjoy an afternoon with the sights, sounds and smells of one of the regions best hydroplane events that include food vendors, shopping and displays.

We had a great 2022 year racing for the Bononcini Racing Team with their all white S/A-5 Miss Joshua Tree (A-1 for 2023 as defending National High Points Champion in 2.5 modified).

Oak Harbor 2023

Always love the Hydros For Heros on Oak Harbor event, it's one of our favorites especially being a core of Vetrans from our Armed Forces.

This year just wasn't our year...Saturday's final heat we suffered a catastrophic engine failure and small fire after a slight fireball from the engine bay. We lost a few engine parts out the bottom of the boat and luckily the fire was put out by our wonderful Region 10 Rescue team and the parts didn't go out through the bottom of the boat (however, they did try).

We thought this might be the last ride for the old girl as we transition to the new boat for next year. However...John was able to repair the belly pan damage and was able to throw the other 305 mod engine together.

So...this weekend is the season finale for racing in Region 10 on beautiful Lake Chelan at Manson, WA. And it will be the last race the old Canadian wood boat will run in competition before retirement to the Vintage class. Come on over to Mabson and root the smaller older under dog on for her final show with some of the fastest boats on the water!

The E-6 Raining Thunder E350 is setup in the pits for the 2023 Hydros for Heroes Oak Harbor race! Come on down for some great racing on the bay and enjoy great vendors as we honor our military and watch a few demonstrations during the weekend.

After our last race at Black Lake, we worked out a few bugs, made a few changes and the boat has perked up noticeably. John Bosserman made a few changes/upgrades from our last race, one of those changed is the new "clear" cockpit glass...no more tinted windows.

This weekend will be the second to last competitive race for this all wood race boat. She will return next year for one race where it will run along team Raining Thunder's new racing hull and then will retire to the vintage circuit.

This will be bittersweet as this hull has come a long way. It has been one of the last all wood competitive racing hulls still running in the E350 class. But we look to the future with great excitement and a larger and lighter composite boat that we fully intend to see what she can do!

Let's get ready to make some noise, watch some great deck-to-deck racing and honor our active duty military members and veterans alike. See you at the races!

John Bosserman upgrades team Raining Thunder for 2024! The team acquired the historic hull from Cody Holmes with future plans on continued success campaigning the LS engine into the future. We look forward to what the future holds for our team and lots of deck-to-deck racing action!

Congratulations Michael Jarvis & Nick Bononcini of the Bononcini Racing Team, they are your 2022 American Powerboat Racing Association (APBA) 2.5 liter modified hydroplane National Champions!

2022 was a great year for the Bononcini Racing Team with Michael behind the wheel of the S/A-5 "Miss Joshua Tree" presented by Baker Performance Propellers. Consistency and determination was on display as the team walked away with several hard-fought awards to end the year In both the 2.5 stock & 2.5 modified classes.

The team was able to capture 1st place at Western Divisionals in 2.5 modified, was crowned the Region 10 High Points Champion, Won the APBA Western Championship Challenge Hydro Thunder Division, tied for 1st place at the first annual "Chase the Grapes" series for Eastern Washington and took 3rd place in 2.5 liter stock APBA High Points.

We'd really like to thank Nick & Phil Bononcini for a great year and awesome equipment! Thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way this year, without you none of this would've been possible: John Bosserman, Michelle Jarvis, Chris Fanaris, Bud McKay, Dave Lemon, Brad Sanchez, Beau Rarig, Pat Clark, Conrad Malmo, Jim & Jacob Mauldin and Jennifer Cushing.
