North River Church of Christ

North River Church of Christ

We are a non-denominational church filled with members who are committed to a close relationship with God based firmly on the Bible. What an incredible promise!

Over 2000 years ago, Jesus of Nazareth promised that the lives of those who believed in him would flow with rivers of living water. Rivers bring life and vitality to an area. Imagine how dull and dry our landscape would be without creeks and rivers! The driest and harshest areas of the country have been made fertile by capturing and directing the water from rivers that flows through these lands. R

So encouraged by our North River crew with HOPE worldwide! They helped fully stock a brand-new food pantry at Dunleith Elementary School!

It will serve to feed the students, providing uniforms, and meeting almost any needs brought to them. Thank you HOPE for partnering with us to make this possible!

What does is mean to give with a generous heart?

Steve and Max give us a deep dive into how we can actively understand the power of giving when we listen to the Holy Spirit's guidance on staying financial responsible with how we spend it.

Come and see, Jesus spoke through many parables and metaphors but he always had a plan and examples of what he meant.

Tyrone from our sister church in Trinidad and Tobago brings us the word from John and how it is the spiritual book of the Gospels. The Gospels is calling us to know Him and he wants us to grasp a full picture of what a healthy spiritual relationship looks like not only with him but also with the Family of God.

Happy Sunday everyone!!

God is constituting a new family | The Case of Family 05/31/2024

โ€œGod is constituting a new family. We donโ€™t just share stuff with each other. We share our hearts with each other. I love this is relational, familial stuff. Itโ€™s not institutional, but itโ€™s spiritual. A family! Paul is not just writing to write like he cares about the health of the church. In the church we need to be connected and we need to get reconciled.โ€ - Jeff Hickman

Our 4 "Buckets" (Areas of Giving):

- International Missions
We support three international missions societies: The European Missions Society, the African Missions Association, and the Caribbean Missions Society. Our money goes to help support evangelists and missionaries as they do the work of the ministry of the gospel. This money also supports Douglas Jacoby's International Teaching Ministry (douglasjacoby.com).

- Southeast Missions
We support several churches around the Southeast, including in Jackson, MS, and Auburn, AL. We also support Camp Swamp, a faith-based camp for ages 9-18 that has been instrumental helping many young people come to faith.

- Local Initiatives
We support many local ministry initiatives in Metro Atlanta, including campus interns who minister on several college campuses in the area, including Kennesaw State University, Georgia State, and Georgia Tech. We also support interns and staff for our Youth and Family Ministry and other ministries at North River.

- Lighthouse
Part of our collection goes to pay for our new facility, The Lighthouse, which opened in 2020. This building has been a blessing to countless people not just in our church, but to our surrounding community and beyond. With a state of the art Theatre, Gym, and Classrooms, we have the ability to host many different events and causes.

Our battle is not with each other but with the ones in the spiritual realm of darkness. They seek to trick us into believing that our fight is with each other. But God wants us to show love to each other no matter how hard it is. Let us continue to remember who we are against and that is not humanity. Jesus called us to bring peace and not to harm.

God bless!!
