And when Jesus was baptized, immediately he went up from the water, and behold, the heavens were opened to him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming to rest on him; and behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.” -Matthew 3:16-17

If you are in Christ, you too get to hear from the mouth and heart of God this declaration over you: “This is my beloved child, and I’m so pleased with you.”

If you are in union with Christ, you’re God’s child. You are loved by God just as much as He loves Jesus. Pause and think about that unbelievable truth. There’s nothing YOU can do to earn this declaration. There’s nothing you can do to have it taken away. Hallelujah!
