Dear Brothers and Sisters:

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

Masjid Al Athar is no longer at the location we've rented for the past 12 years. The building owners decided that they did not want a religious organization to continue using their building. They have wanted us out since last year and decided to almost triple the rent to get us to move. We have been diligently looking for a space to purchase, or at least to rent until we can find a place that will suit our needs. As it stands, we do not have a building for worship.

Subject: Masjid Temporary Location (For Jumu'ah Only )

In sha Allah

The time frame will be from 1:45pm - 2:15pm.
If at all possible, please be in wudu since there are limited bathroom facilities.
We ask that you also bring your prayer rugs.

It is very important we that quickly disperse after Jumu'ah service and do not linger in the Hotel or outside in the parking lot. There is sufficient free parking available.

Due to this limited spacing in the temporary location, please do not bring children.

Until we find a building that will accommodate our needs, we ask that you continue to send your donations to assist us in renting a building and eventually purchasing our own.

We are in delight to announce that the 1st of Ramadan will be tomorrow, Tuesday April 13th. TARAWIH BEGINS TONIGHT 9:30PM right after the ISHA insha Allah. The masjid is making the following arrangements for Tarāwīh prayers:

All are invited for the Taraweeh prayers.

Recommendations

It is recommended to wear masks, bring their own prayer mats, and maintain social distancing throughout.

Iftar Plan
As of now the masjid is doing iftar food boxes distribution just like last year Biznillah. The masjid will update the prior day on the days we are planning for the distribution in shaa allah. The details can be found from either one of these,Br. Samir, Br. Vajee, Sr.Shaheen or Sister Maryam.
