Dress-up play OUTDOORS?

Yep! Setting up invitation to pretend play & role playing can take imaginative play to a whole new level. Even for very young children. I played pirate with two 2yr olds yesterday for quite awhile. They wore hats. We used the slide as our boat and we even hunted for treasure on the playground. 🏴‍☠️

Dress-up items don’t have to live on the playground all the time but you can absolutely rotate them on occasion to see what your children are drawn to. I once had a brother & sister duo who would wear fairy wings every single day. It was like their school uniform 😉 🧚🏻

Jan 13, 2018- the 1st Timbernook, aka, Unplugged Adventures session! We were so privileged to be the 1st group for this amazing program. Christa had a vision of this preschool in the woods and we had a love of nature so it was a natural partnership. We had so much fun, I was AMAZED!
How creative, how unique, what an amazing place for children to explore and learn and JUST PLAY.
We have visited both Timberbook and Still family farm several times for field trips. Each time, a little more adventurous and special.
We love you Christa and Carol! We love your vision, your wisdom, your never ending love of the outdoors and we will never be able to thank you enough for sharing this with us
