27th Annual H.O.P.E. Poker Run…Saturday June 22nd, 2024. Starts At Teamsters Local 600 Union Hall, Maryland Heights, Mo., Doors Open @ 9:30am, Last Bike Leaves The Hall @ 10:30am. The Ride Is Approximately 80 Miles. The Last Stop Is @ Lehmann’s Landing In Bridgeton, Mo., $20 for A Poker Hand, $30 For Poker Hand and T-Shirt. The Ride Is Open To Anyone, You Don’t Have To Be A Union Member. Bring Your Bike, Dune Buggy, Classic Car, Everything and Everyone Is Welcome. Our Mission is to " Help Our People Endure"

Overview
H.O.P.E. is a non-profit, non-political, volunteer rank-and-file charitable organization established in 1980. H.O.P.E. has one requirement- that supporters adhere to the goals of helping members of Local 600 (and their families) who are unemployed, under-employed, laid-off, or out of work through no fault of their own. H.O.P.E. is a separate rank-and-file entity from I.B.T. Local Union 600 Executive Board. H.O.P.E. is chartered with the State of Missouri and has a Registered Federal Tax Number.

Description
H.O.P.E. assists Local 600 members and their families in need with utility, medical, household and other necessary living expenses. All members' requests for help are investigated, verified, and approved by a majority of the H.O.P.E. Executive Board members.

General Information
There are no administrative expenses or compensation paid to any H.O.P.E. Executive Board Member. All monies received by H.O.P.E. are obtained through the sale of H.O.P.E. memorabilia and fundraisers such as dances, softball/ golf/ fishing tournaments, trivia nights and other Local 600 activities.

H.O.P.E. stands for “Helping Our People Endure”. It is a Charity run by Teamster Local 600 members that are all volunteers, no one is paid, its all volunteers. We put on events such as Trivia Nights, Poker Runs, Golf Tournaments and so on. We also sell Local 600 T-shirts, Hats and other merchandise at Our Union Meetings and Our H.O.P.E. Events. We use the money we raise to help Local 600 Members that are out of work do to no fault of their own. We help them with Utility Bills, Groceries, Medical and other necessary expenses.
