Start off the New Year with a good deed! Donate to our Teen Essential Shelf! 💕 The Teen Essential Shelf is an area where teens can "grab-what-you-need" of free personal care items, no questions asked. This repurposed bookshelf provides much needed access of basic hygiene products and local mental health resources for teens and their families. 🥰

Everyone is welcome to donate items to our Teen Essential Shelf year-round! For more information please contact the Teen Department at 956-681-3090

City of McAllen Planning Department will be closed on Monday, December 19, 2022 from 12 PM-1:30 PM.

Do you want to undertake a beautification project in your neighborhood? Projects may include creating a community garden, organizing a neighborhood clean-up, or implementing security lighting. Forming a neighborhood association may assist with those efforts. You may contact the City of McAllen Planning Department at 956-681-1250 to learn more on how to create a neighborhood association in your area.

Are you planning to build on your property? Have you ever wanted to build a carport, a swimming pool, or add a porch to your residence? Before you build, contact us to learn more on building setback restrictions for your property. Contact us at 956-681-1250, we are always ready to assist you!

The Planning Department will be closed on Thanksgiving Day. Regular office hours will resume Friday, November 25, 2022.
