Some might say that our Speech Therapy Team is EXTRA….and they are!! They are EXTRA-attentive to the needs of their patients. They are EXTRA-knowledgeable with all things involving communication, swallowing and cognition. They are EXTRA-experienced, because as a group they have over 100 years of experience!! Overall, they are an EXTRAORDINARY group of professionals!! So today we treated them to an EXTRA special outing to show them how appreciated and loved they truly are! Happy Speech Therapy Month!! Today, we recognized Rhianna, DPT, a vital asset to our organization, for her impressive achievement as a master clinician specializing in wound care. She is one of seven master clinicians for our entire organization to hold this prestigious title, and she is the only one to specialize in wound care!
Her exceptional abilities have greatly contributed to the betterment of our community, embodying our commitment to providing high-quality, dignified post-acute care.

Today, we were pleased to have Grecia from Heavenly Health Care provide lunch for our MTC nurses as we recognize their outstanding contributions during Nurses Week.

April is Occupational Therapy month, and we celebrated our talented therapists all month with treats!
Occupational therapy helps you improve your ability to perform daily tasks. Through their expertise, they identify ways to overcome obstacles to performing daily tasks such as bathing, eating, or household chores.

Ms. Luz is celebrating a milestone birthday! She turns 101 years and we couldn't be more thrilled to honor her on this special day. Join us in wishing her a happy birthday!

Tiffany plays a vital role at McAllen Transitional, one of her many responsibilities is to manage all the health information and data relating to a patient in order to ensure that everything is accurate, updated, secure, and accessible.

Although the day was a little gloomy, our eclipse viewing experience was not! Today, our staff along with residents, viewed the rare total solar eclipse that won’t happen again until 2044.

Hoppy Good Friday indeed! Our residents are enjoying an eggs-traordinary Easter celebration filled with fun, games, and delicious food.

We celebrated three remarkable women at MTCC last week: Ashlee for National Social Work Month, Karen for Marketing Day, and Bella for HR Week. Join us in congratulating these hardworking individuals who contribute to our mission of dignifying post-acute care.

At MTCC, some of our core values are Celebration and Love One Another. On Friday, we did just that! Our staff got together and planned a surprise baby shower to celebrate Leslie, RN.

Join us to congratulate two of our newest Registered Nurses at McAllen Transitional Care Center!
Victoria joined MTCC as a CNA, meanwhile she was attending nursing school where she successfully completed the LVN program and continued to be part of MTCC as an LVN. Now, we are proud to have her as one of our new RN graduates.
Clint joined MTCC as an LVN, an outstanding employee that continued to work at MTCC while also attending nursing school to achieve his goal of becoming an RN.
