In Collin County since 2022:
• 19% are under 18 yrs old
• 14% are over 55 yrs old
• Youth Homelessness increased 18%
• Family Homelessness increased 15%

Collin County does not have an overnight shelter for families and adults. The Samaritan Inn, is amazing, but is not a homeless shelter. It’s more transitional housing, there’s an application process and people stay can stay for months.

Streetside Showers has a clothing trailer serving the homeless in Collin Collin and NEED USED CLOTHING - 🧔‍♂️🧔🏽‍♂️🧔🏿‍♂️🧔🏻‍♂️Mens winter items are our biggest need: 👖Pants, 👕shirts, 🧥hoodies, etc. also need belts and 👟shoes.

Next need would be men’s summer clothes. This includes shorts, t-shirts, etc.

Well stocked on women’s clothes and we don’t need children’s clothes!

🌟 Streetside Showers 🌟 Providing Mobil Hot Showers and Personal Hygiene care to those in need.

Streetside Showers is a nonprofit organization that provides free mobile showers, hygiene kits, and clean undergarments to people experiencing homelessness.

Streetside Showers' mission is to help restore human dignity to the homeless community. The organization's founder, Lance Olinski, was inspired to start Streetside Showers after seeing a homeless man washing out of a public restroom in McKinney.

• USED or NEW Clothing Donations - for their clothing closet trailer

• Clothing Closet Valet | managing Clothing Closet

• Shower Valet | Greeting guests, cleaning showers, and distributing hygiene kits

• Barber/Hairstylist | Providing haircuts to the homeless individuals

• Make non-perishable food packs for homeless
• Assemble hygiene kits for homeless

• Washing Towels for Homeless | Pick up and wash towels
