Our Savior Preschool Offers a Private Kindergarten Program!

Karen Thompson, our kindergarten teacher, spent the last 10 years teaching Kindergarten in Plano ISD, with the last two years as Kindergarten Team Lead. She has excellent qualifications and an engaging, hands-on teaching philosophy. She is passionate about inspiring a love of learning for a lifetime.

Karen is certified through the Texas Board of Education in the areas of Early Childhood through Sixth Grade with special certifications in English Language Learner and Talented and Gifted. She completed The Reading Academy, a rigorous course regarding The Science of Reading, required for all primary Texas educators.

At Our Savior, children are immersed in a joyful setting where they can explore, discover and bloom. Karen’s joy, enthusiasm, sense of wonderment and genuine love for children help create the perfect environment to learn, grow and have fun in the process!

We have a rigorous curriculum based on Texas Education Knowledge and Skills (TEKS); high expectations; lower student-teacher ratios; and faith-based teaching. Students discover the joy of learning while mastering the kindergarten skills necessary for the adventures awaiting them in First Grade.

We still have a few openings for the 2024-2025 school year and would love to show you and your child our program.

Monday - Friday: 8:45 am - 2:15 pm.

OSL Preschool follows the MISD School Calendar.

Registration: $510.00, one-time fee

Monthly Tuition: $615.00

Extended Care is available before and after school hours for $6.75 / hour without prearrangement. (Extended hours offered from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm)

Enrollment for the 2024-2025 school year for all classes, ages (18 months .

OPENINGS IN OTHER CLASSES THAT ARE NOW AVAILABLE:
Transitional Kindergarten

Our Savior Preschool has some openings in the Transitional Kindergarten class. Transitional Kindergarten meets 5 days per week and is ideal for children turning 5 -years- old in September. Some children benefit greatly from the gift of another year to prepare socially and academically for kindergarten. Children will enjoy the company of friends their age, chapel, Spanish, technology, daily Bible lessons, and a thorough, daily review of the pre-K curriculum. Academically, children will be taught the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills needed for success in kindergarten. The teacher is a certified teacher who has taught both preschool, kindergarten and upper elementary.

The older 3-year-old class has one Tuesday/Thursday opening. (Age requirement 3 years, 9 months to 3 years, 11 months by Sept. )

The older four-year-old class has two, three, and five-day places available which have recently opened for the 2024-2025 school year. Age requirement: 4 years, 9 months to 4 years, 11 months by September.

The younger 4-year-old classes have two Tuesday/Thursday openings for the 2024-2025 school year. (Age requirement: 4 years, 1 month to 4 years, 5 months by September)

Our Savior Preschool Offers a Private Kindergarten Program!

Kindergarten students will be prepared to move on to First Grade after finishing our kindergarten program. Children enrolled in kindergarten are required to have turned 5 by September 6th, 2024

Children enrolled in Transitional Kindergarten will attend kindergarten after they finish the school year. Transitional kindergarten ( TK) gives children the gift of another year to mature, grow, and master the skills needed in kindergarten. Children are required to be at least 4.11 years old and have had one year of Pre-K to enroll.

We had breakfast this morning...Mothers & Grandmothers gathered with their kiddos for pancakes, muffins, bagels, fruit, etc.

This morning the OSL Church community provided it's very first "Fathers & Grandfathers Breakfast" for the preschool families. It was a great time together. Lots of memories made!

Hello OSL Preschool Families!

My name is Pastor Mark Bray and I have the great joy of serving as the Preschool Chaplain here at Our Savior Preschool.

As the Preschool Chaplain, it’s my privilege to provide spiritual care and support for you and your family. If you need prayer, support walking through a difficult time, or simply an ear to listen, I welcome the opportunity to provide that support. Also, if you’re looking for a new church home, I’d love to welcome you to be a part of OSL, and connect your child with our vibrant children's ministry.

A little about myself:

The picture below is me and my family. I have been married to my high school sweetheart Robyn since 2003 and we have been blessed with two children, Abigail (16) and Luke (13). We are originally from the Central Texas area but have called North Texas home since 2004. Robyn works as the Children’s Ministry Director at OSL and finds great joy in teaching children about God’s great love for them. She leads a thriving Children’s Ministry (yes, I am biased...ha!) each Sunday morning for ages preschool through 4th grade. Prior to entering the ministry full-time, I worked in corporate finance and as a technology consultant. I moved into a full-time pastor role in January 2022, having completed four years (very long years!) of study at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.

I look forward to getting to know you and your family and providing support as we walk through this life together. If you see me on campus while you are dropping off or picking up your child, feel free to holler at me so we can meet.
