When it comes to developing good character, Primrose students have 12 special helpers. Through songs, stories, activities and more, teachers use the Primrose Friends to help children learn about positive character traits like generosity ❤️, courage 🦁 and cooperation 🤝.

The start of a new school year is always exciting, but little ones sometimes feel nervous about making the transition whether that be the prospect of a new classroom, new teachers or new friends. Try these tips to help build your child's confidence for the first day of school and beyond:​

👋 Wave Goodbye to Summer: Enjoy an end-of-summer picnic and a first day back at school breakfast with your family.​

🙂 Keep it Positive: Your attitude makes a huge difference when it comes to building excitement about the school year. Talk to your child about all the fun they'll have and how they'll get to see their school friends soon. ​
​
🍎 Practice Healthy Habits: Schedules tend to get off track in the summer, so it's important to reestablish your child's normal sleeping and eating schedules. The transition will be easier for both of you when your little one is well-rested and feeling good. ​
​
🗓️ Make a Paper Chain: Starting in the final days of summer, create a paper chain with every "link" representing one day. Have your child draw what happened that day on each link. When the first month of school is over, you'll have a fun memory craft to decorate with. ​
​
📚 Read Together: Reading books about heading back to school is a fun way to get your child excited while helping strengthen their early literacy skills. ​

In June, Primrose schools in Middle Tennessee hosted over 340 teachers for Professional Development Day! This event was full of learning, collaboration, team-building exercises and networking. ​

We're happy to support by providing them continuous opportunities to learn and grow. Thank you to everyone who helped bring this Professional Development Day to life, from schools and Franchise Owners to our guest speaker and the amazing teachers who help build a brighter future for every student.

Today our Explorers went to visit The Chateau assisted living and had so much fun with the 4th of July scavenger hunt and seeing all the residents during it. They also got to enjoyed some pizza and a movie after with a few of the residents after.

During dramatic play in our Early preschool class we went indoor camping ⛺️ with Katie and made yummy snacks and read camp stories 🏕️😋📚

Today we had a visit from David the Juggler and got to see an amazing light show! The kids from Preschool Pathways all the way through to Explorers had so much fun and loved being able to assist in any way they could.

Congratulations to Ms. Hutchings you’re the Apple of Our Eye for the month of June! Thank you, Ms. Hutchings, for all that you do for us each day. We are so lucky to have you!

Congrats to the Lamb family for being chosen to be the Family of the Month of July 2024! Zack and Kate both graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester NY and are both Family nurse practitioners working in pediatric orthopedics. We joined Primrose School of Stone Brooke in November of 2022 when Fletcher was 3 and Grayson started in April of 2023 at 8 months. We enjoy spending time together as a family at the playground, splash pads, having dance parties at home, and going out/making for breakfast (pancakes).

This week in our Explorers class we spent three days with drones. The kids had so much fun with learning about them and being hands on to fly them their selves.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the families and vendors who participated and generously donated to our Night at the Museum and Spring Fling event. Your contributions have made a significant positive impact on helping many children in our local community find loving and supportive homes 💕

Today in our Early Preschool and Preschool Pathways classes we created our own stories using our fine motor skills and used our blocks to make enclosures for different types of animals using hand-eye coordination.

Today during wonder time 2 our infant class we explored moving pink and yellow colored paints onto our paper. They participated in teacher-directed and non-teacher-directed art activities by exploring and responding to a variety of art forms.

Today we got a visit from Snowie to-go and got to enjoy some delicious snow cones with our friends on a hot day.

Spring Fling has come to an end, and this year the Primrose community has raised more than $510,000 as children learned about the joy of giving without expectation. 🌸🎉​

Half of the funds raised will support local charities in Primrose school communities, and the other half support the Primrose Schools Children Foundation's mission to empower people, care for the planet and give back to communities through contributions to West Lakes Early Learning Center, No Kid Hungry®, Save the Children® and more.

This week our Explorers class went to see "Matilda" as a play. It was so much fun and we loved seeing them so immersed in the acting, they couldn't stop watching!

Infants engaged in a great activity during Wonder Time 1. The little ones developed fine motor skills while exploring secondary colors. As they listen to their teacher naming the colors, they develop listening and language skills as well.

Today in our Explorers class we began learning Art Smarts starting with our very own self portraits. Creating these with the children was so fun and we loved seeing how detailed they made them!

We had so much fun this morning at our D.I.Y with DAD Father's Day event where the students built birdhouses and kites with their dads! The Breakfast Tacos were a hit as well. THANK YOU for joining us this morning. We hope you have an amazing weekend and a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

This week Preschool is learning about motion and how things move. They planned and designed a structure using recycled materials to transport water. They worked as a team and after discussion and exploration, they were able to transport the water through 7 containers.

We had so much fun at Strikz today learning how to bowl and playing with our friends.

Young Toddler class had a blast in the restaurant! Children engaged in interactive activity where they used their social skills by playing together, sharing, and taking turns.
