GraceToChange
Our mission is to break the cycle of addiction by providing tools, support & hope for recovery. When your own sense of self-worth begins to crumble.
How do you know whether your alcohol or drug use has become a problem? When you experience negative consequences, such as legal issues, relationship difficulties, or job loss. When you try to "cut back" on, or stop using but just can't seem to do it. Often, it's hard to identify exactly when or how things went wrong, and you may feel trapped and alone. GraceToChange can help, and recovery is possible. Our fully-licensed counselors understand how difficult this process is.
We need magazines! If you have them laying around your house or office, would you consider donating them to help our clients create vision boards for their future?
This is why we love our group classes! We create a family of choice for some people that don't have that in their lives. Working through tough times is always easier when you have support from others.
Graduation nights are a HUGE deal around here!! GTC has successfully graduated close to 1300 clients over the years, and we are super excited to celebrate 2 more this evening.
Raffle Items Needed for our Annual Change a Life, Change a Community Gala this October. Please reach out if you are interested in donating an item. Thanks for all the continued support from our community!
Let's have some fun on World Emoji Day! What emoji best represents you in life right now and if you feel comfortable sharing, why is that the one you picked?
Help us reach 2500 followers! The more followers our page gets, the more awareness we are able to raise and ultimately reach people who may be ready to live a sober life. Thanks to our 2200 current followers!
Redirect your mind.....
Story time.... we received a donation in the mail in the form of a check from a name we were not familiar with but had an idea of who may have pointed them in our direction. Upon follow up, we learned that the number 260 is how many AA meetings that person has attended so far this year. $1 per meeting, now that is unique and powerful! Thank you for supporting the mission at GTC!
Second chances change lives, remember we can all use some grace in life.
Wishing everyone a safe and sober holiday!
What an honor to receive a handwritten thank you note from a client upon their graduation. This is our fuel to keep showing grace and teaching people how to live a life of sobriety.
We cannot stress enough how important it is to know the signs of an overdose and how to respond correctly. Educate yourself, and if you need a box of Narcan for your home or business please reach out.
This is so powerful!
This is just what the Medical Examiners office has confirmed. Not all deaths get an autopsy, so the numbers are definitely higher. Fentanyl is still a major concern in our community and killing people. Please educate yourself and keep Narcan in your home.
Even though the temps are currently 100 degrees outside, our clients still love to cuddle up with a cozy blanket during group. We are blessed to have a friend of GTC that ensures these blankets stay clean and smelling very inviting. Thank you!! 🧡🧡
Today our Executive Director, Shannon White had the opportunity to address a room full of police officers from all over the DFW area about Teens, Drugs & The Police. We were also able to provide FREE Narcan to the officers, they took full advantage of that to make sure they are always prepared.
Happy Saturday to all our sober friends! Congratulations, make it a great day! 💜
Huge shout out to Studio 147 for the continued support of supplying fun snacks for our adolescent group. It is a wonderful thing to have businesses wanting to feed into GTC and help people on their journey to sobriety. Thank you!!
Do you complete a nightly inventory of your day? We encourage our clients to take a few minutes daily to reflect on their day, everyone should give this a try. We would love to hear any other questions you may ask yourself while conducting your inventory.
Hot weather equals lots of water for our clients. Water donations are a huge help for GTC and greatly appreciated.

A little food for thought....if your answer is no, we are here to help with your sobriety journey.
The way to a teens heart is through FOOD!! Tonight, as they talk about making plans for changes in life they will snack and discuss. We are always looking for people who would like to give their testimony or discuss a career or life skill with our teens. Reach out if you would be interested in speaking or sponsoring a dinner.
From a client to our staff, let’s celebrate this success….”On the eve of my 5th “birthday” I want to thank you all. There is not a day that I do not thank you all and feel so blessed that I was brought into your amazing world. Thank you thank you thank you. You are always in my heart ❤️ I love you all✌️❤️❤️”
