Congratulations to Brittni Foster A21 (International Relations and Middle Eastern Studies) for her selection as a 2021 Rangel Fellow!
“I’m extremely humbled that the Rangel Fellowship Selection Committee saw something in me and in my potential. In a field that is largely dominated by men and has historically marginalized voices of color, I’m excited to not only represent my country but my community as a black American woman. I’m proud to be a part of a cohort that is an honest reflection of the United States and the litany of cultural identities and experiences. Having a more accurate representation of American interests and values through the array of stories, identities, and lived experiences of American foreign service officers is an important step in both decolonizing international relations and ensuring all voices are included in the most important conversations in diplomacy.”
