Dr. Liz is able to determine and correct the root cause of the dysfunction to restore normal range of motion, function, and relieve pain.
Dr. Liz’s interests outside of work include spending quality time with family, nature photography, and attending and watching soccer matches. She is an avid fan of the Orlando Pride and Orlando City soccer teams, as well as the US National Women’s soccer team.

What can acupuncture do for you?
Acupuncture has been used for centuries in China to treat a host of problems, such as joint pain, sprains, arthritis, stress, disc problems, infertility and other gynecological complaints.
Also an effective treatment for treating emotional disorders such as grief, phobias and anger
Acupuncture helps balance a healthy body as promotes good health so that minor problems are addressed before becoming bigger issues.
There is much research that validates that massage therapy is an important component of a wellness program:
Massage has been shown to increase range of motion and flexibility as well as to improve measures of anxiety, depression, vitality, and perceived stress.
It can also increase feelings of wellness, calm, relaxation, and a sense of belonging.
In a study of the effect of massage therapy on patients receiving Bone Marrow Transplants (BMT) it was concluded that those who received massage therapy had a better quality of life. These patients rested more easily, had less depression and anxiety and were more able to communicate with loved ones during this crucial treatment.
Massage helps overcome the feelings of fatigue.
Massage has positive side-effects in addition to those that affect the musculoskeletal system.
Massage coupled with aromatherapy and music significantly reduced emergency room nurses’ anxiety levels.
Adolescents had an increased sense of well-being after receiving massage.
Massage increases a sense of well-being and decreases stress in older adults.
Massage reduces nausea in chemotherapy patients.
Caregiver[s] reported an improvement in physical and emotional states after chair massage.
Massage in combination with mental training (in a stress management program) has a positive effect on women’s health.
According to the American Psychological Association:
Forty-three percent of all adults suffer adverse health effects from stress.
75 to 90 percent of all physician office visits are for stress-related ailments and complaints.
Stress is linked to the six leading causes of death – heart disease, cancer, lung ailments, accidents, cirrhosis of the liver, and su***de.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has declared stress a hazard of the workplace.
It is logical that if stress is decreased, then wellness will increase. Massage has been shown to decrease stress; therefore massage will increase wellness and should be included in everyone’s health management plan.

Bone Spurs
Also known as osteophytes, bone spurs happen when bone grows over damaged area of bone structure. This is commonly caused by arthritis of the spine. Bone spurs can contribute to more serious conditions like nerve root impingement and spinal stenosis, especially when left untreated.
Symptoms of bone spurs
Inflammation
Tenderness
Loss of motion
Radiating pain
Bone spur complications
Arthritis of the Spine. Bone spurs happen as a normal part of aging. They’re often found in patients with spinal arthritis. As the joints of the spine degenerate, bone wears down. Bone spurs occur when the body attempts to stabilize that deteriorated area by replacing bone.
Spinal Stenosis. This condition may occur when bone spurs become so enlarged that they protrude into the nerve pathways of the spine. This can also lead to nerve root impingement.
bone spur diagnosis
Bone spur diagnosis
Physical examinations and MRI imaging give us the ability to see exactly where overgrowth of bone spurs are occurring and whether or not nerves are being affected. Bone spurs are not irregular by nature, but when they grow irregularly they lead to pain and spinal conditions.
Bone spur treatments
Patients with bone spurs should see a spine specialist and neurosurgeon promptly. Treatment can prevent permanent spine damage and further issues.
Physical therapy can be very effective in lowering or eliminating the risk of further damage to the bone structures of the spine. Patients who are experiencing pain from bone spurs are often candidates for interventional pain management techniques.
Acupuncture’s proven benefits
Many clinical studies support acupuncture’s ability to relieve osteoarthritis pain, particularly in the knee. One study of 18,000 patients found acupuncture to be helpful for many pain conditions, including knee osteoarthritis.
In addition to promoting an anti-inflammatory effect, studies show that acupuncture releases endogenous opioid endorphins (the body’s natural pain-relieving chemicals).
So where can you find an acupuncturist? Today, you can find one at your local hospital or in a private practitioner’s office.
Wherever you choose to go, your initial appointment will typically take longest. The acupuncturist will do a detailed assessment in order to create a treatment plan for you.
He or she can keep your physician informed about your progress.
Minimize the toll arthritis takes
Don’t let arthritis of the knee keep you in constant pain, and limit your ability to function and enjoy life.
But today, more than ever, it’s important to look beyond chronic pain medicine — especially opioids — for solutions.
Acupuncture is a good option to keep in mind to decrease pain, inflammation and stiffness, and increase range of motion, in your knee. And that can improve your over all quality of life, meaning you can better participate in all of your day-to-day activities, whether that’s at work, the park or the gym!
CBD oil to the rescue
If you find yourself with a nasty sunburn this summer that needs attention, try using CBD oil to soothe the pain. Regardless if you simply find yourself a little pink as the result of being in the sun a little too long, or you end up with an intense burn that needs to be addressed simply to feel comfortable in a tee-shirt, these properties may make a CBD product exactly what you’re looking for.
Natural healing process
There are currently plenty of people within the medical profession who recognize CBD oil as a serious help for any kind of burn. As well as healing sunburns, CBD oil is also great with first, second, and third-degree burns. Because it is a natural source as well as a process for healing, many consider CBD oil one of the best remedies for sunburn.
One thing you will not find in a CBD oil are chemicals that could end up being harmful. Creating even more damage to your skin. CBD can easily be applied either as a salve or oil to areas of your skin that have been burned. With a CBD product, you won’t be left with any nasty reactions to the product you are using. Because swelling is reduced naturally, there is no reason for a negative reaction to the product. Also, new skin cells will be produced, nourishing your skin.
CBD as antioxidants
There has been plenty of study and research completed showing that CBD products work as an antioxidant (1). Because of this, a CBD oil or salve can be extremely beneficial for a nasty sunburn. There are several free radicals your skin becomes exposed to while spending long periods in the sun. These radicals can be extremely damaging to your skin. They are harmful to your skin’s collagen. When this happens too much, your skin begins to look older and may even begin to wrinkle. By using a CBD product on a regular basis, you provide yourself with the opportunity to heal your skin from these radicals.
Anti-inflammatory properties
CBD products are quickly becoming more and more recognized for their anti-inflammatory properties. They are commonly used to provide relief from swollen joints, seizures, nausea, and several other issues that normally need medical attention. Arthritis is probably one of the most popular reasons for using a CBD product.
The anti-inflammatory properties used for these reasons are also beneficial when it comes to treating a sunburn (2). One of the effects you will notice the quickest is how CBD oil is able to take away the redness of the area. It will also help with fighting both stings and the pain that accompany a sunburn. The skin that has been inflamed and is now sensitive will heal much quicker if you’re using CBD oil. The burnt skin will also be comforted by the cooling effect of these products.
No side effects
Using CBD products is quickly becoming more and more popular. You hear of CBD being used in almost every area around the world. While these products are just recently being used to treat sunburns, if you live in an area where being in the sun can be an issue, people are quickly catching on to the benefits of using CBD for sunburn relief.
One of the reasons for this is there have yet to be any serious side effects from using the products reported. As we said before, you will not find any harsh chemicals being used in the products. There isn’t any additional harm done to your skin by using them. And, these products lead to healthier skin cells being produced and overall healthier skin.
Fast Healing
Also, one of the greatest benefits of using a CBD product for sunburns, the healing begins to take place instantly. Within just a few days, many people using a CBD product have reported their sunburn has been completely healed. In no time at all, their skin was as beautiful and well-nourished as ever. This isn’t something you can say about other lotions and creams used for sunburn.
If people all around the world are recovering quickly from sunburn with the use of CBD products, what exactly is stopping you from giving it a try?
