We continue our celebration of our faculty with sharing Dr. Iratzoqui’s “Dr. I” guest column in the Daily Memphian. The column discusses her work on the new domestic violence strategic plan. Many of you know Dr. I from her Intimate Partner Violence course, this article elaborates on how Dr. I is working in the community to develop a plan to combat IPV in Memphis.

Dr. McCuddy was recently honored with the Faculty Excellence award and the Dean’s award for excellence in teaching. MK Webb was awarded the Susan T. Paske award. Both are incredible honors and we are so happy to have you as part of our department.

Join us this Thursday for our annual CJ career fair! We will be joined by lots of agencies who would love to talk to you about future career opportunities in Criminal Justice.
Our final book club of the semester will be hosted on April 20th, please join us for a discussion of Just Mercy authored by Bryan Stevenson. Just Mercy is a memoir about Stevenson’s experience as the defense attorney for clients facing discrimination at the hands of the Justice system.
CJSA will be hosting a viewing party the following week where we will watch the Just Mercy film. The showing will be on 4/27 in UC 145 at 3pm.
Our very own Dr. Iratzoqui was awarded the Alumni Association Distinguished Teaching Award. She is one of four winners across the university. This is a great honor, we are so glad to have you in our department. Join us in congratulating Dr. I!
