Our Story
Total Arts Coalition was founded in 2013 with the purpose of educating, perfecting, performing and promoting artistic work in the community, with the goal of ensuring that the stage is a great place for everyone to be a star.
After realizing that many kids but also adults, didn’t have access and the opportunity to experience the arts and get the chance to perform, Dr. Ta**us M. Hines visualized the Total Arts Coalition after teaching dance in Shelby County Schools.
We are a 501c 3 organization with the primary goal of serving our community and giving artistic opportunities to people of all ages. We want everyone to have the opportunity to explore their creative potential regardless of resources, background, or previous experience.
We offer the chance to explore the arts of theater, dance, puppetry, music, singing, production, and much more.
