Know Ministries recently donated 200 Bibles for youth to use during weekly Bible study at MAM. 🙌 Each Bible also had a special note from a caring adult which referenced their favorite Bible verse. We are grateful to partner with like-minded organizations to impact our youth! ❤️

🏀 Program Spotlight: MAM Sports 🏐

At Memphis Athletic Ministries, we believe that sports are more than just games—they're powerful tools for youth development and character building. Our sports programs offer basketball, cheer/dance, flag football, soccer, and volleyball in a safe, fun, and gospel-centered environment. Through the Center of Healing and Justice through Sport, our staff are trained in trauma-sensitivity, ensuring that our youth receive emotional and social support alongside their athletic training. 🧠💪

With leagues for elementary, middle, and high school boys and girls, our teams compete throughout the school year. Our coaches go beyond teaching sports skills; they build relationships that impact every area of a young person's life, embedding life lessons, character development, and the Gospel into every practice and game. ❤️

🌍 This week at MAM, we're diving into the beginning of everything—Creation! 🙌 God spoke, and the world came into existence, full of beauty, diversity, and purpose. Every tree, every star, every creature, all created for His glory. 🌟 As we explore Genesis 1:1-25, let's remember that we, too, are part of this incredible creation, made to reflect His greatness. ❤️

Here's how you can support:

👥 Gather 5-10+ volunteers to serve food and build connections with our students and families.
🍔 Bring enough food to feed 200 attendees – think burgers, hot dogs, pizza, wings, and all the essentials like plates, napkins, and utensils. Our grill is ready for action!
🏈 We invite your organization to embrace a spirit of creativity and enjoyment that aligns with the essence of a traditional tailgate celebration! If you have access, consider bringing yard games, comfortable lawn chairs, or even face painting. While these suggestions are not obligatory, they do add to the festivity.

MAM is excited to announce that we have received a grant from First Horizon Bank supporting our mentor program. 🎉 The MAM mentor program combines work and life skills training to prepare high school students for success after graduation. Mentors help equip our students with skills to navigate life whether they pursue employment after graduation, join the military, or seek to further their education. ❤️ Thank you, First Horizon, for investing in our youth!

We're so excited to have our students back at our sites, engaging in meaningful activities and growing together. We open every after-school session with a daily devotional, where youth hear a short message from the Bible from a caring adult mentor. 🙏💙

With 4 neighborhood youth centers, 50 dedicated staff, and countless volunteers, we've touched lives across 17 zip codes—and we're just getting started.
