Remember to add a little magic πŸͺ„ to each day.

I love my daughter. However, I struggle a little bit when I ask her, "How was school?" and the answer I get is "Great!"
I know everything isn't "great" every day. I know that she has experienced being bullied in the past and sat in silence about it. So, "great" isn't always going to cut it with me.
When I ask about specific classes, her teachers, or what said around her that's when we have . That's when we make a connection. πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

In case you were πŸ€” "Maybe my child is still too young to begin early interventions for ." begin with a child's first pediatric evaluation for Autism which can take place within months of a child 1st birthday. Once a comprehensive treatment plan has been developed interventions can be adapted for the home and school settings.

Attending the Gala was a pleasure. It's just good to see in one room. It was so encouraging to see the support for each other and for our city. That was my take away from the night. One of the award recipients said, "Memphis is a city where you get out of it what you put into it." I wholeheartedly agree. I've always believed this about my city. The work and charity starts at home.

Congratulations to each inductee!

My marriage could not have made it passed the first day let alone 12 years without sincere prayer. The book of Proverbs teaches that God respects our honesty. For that reason I have real convos with God.

In neurodiverse marriages, it takes compassion, insight, and willingness to see beyond yourself. The goal has to be getting to the root and calling a thing a thing! The world's first instant may be to judge, but thank God for God! βš“πŸ™ŒπŸΏ I can be myself with Him because He already knows, understands and has the answer! ❀

I was when I got a call from . I didn't know what was up to, but I was just glad to be on his mind.
As an it's so important to understand that his romantic gestures take intentional effort on his part. That makes me appreciate it all the more when he does things like THIS.
I wasn't thinking about my beyond a fleeting thought of how many lbs I can lose in between now and July. But. . . and intentionally picking a fruit basket instead of chocolates.
Knowing that he was thinking ahead of me . . . πŸ₯°
Terrence, I'm so to with you. πŸ’œ The process is so ! Truthfully, it's inspiring me to give myself grace and love on me a little more.

to all couples celebrating in this month!

Year Six: Have a little more acceptance for flaws and encourage each other through your weaknesses.Β
In the Bible, the number 6 symbolizes man’s human weakness, the evils of Satan and the manifestation of sin. Man was created on the sixth day and are appointed 6 days to labor.
A Hebrew slave served six years and released in the 7th year. Six years were appointed for the land to be sown and harvested. The number 6 is also associated with Satan in his temptation of Jesus. The bringing together of three 6's is the number and mark of the end time Beast of Revelation. As such, it represents the very best system of governance that mankind can produce WITHOUT God and under the constant influence of his chief adversary.

Anniversary Goal: Be intentional in praying for each other’s weakness. Mistakes can happen at any time, but you can reduce the chances of temptation increasing your prayer life and having an open conversation, often. Protect your marriage in prayer. Write down your temptations and attach scriptures to help you in prayer.

I was listening to sermon "A New Tone". I was doing laundry & coincidently after listening to . During the interview she too referenced that .

Today I had a moment w/Jae about her tone. I was caught up in the busyness of an internet outage during virtual school. Trying not to panic. Wondering why Jae was not completing any assignments even though she was on my portable hotspot.

I finally asked her what time her support class ends & she told me. So, since that was quite a moment away, I instructed her to take an early lunch. Jae walked passed me & whined under breath, "But lunch doesn't start until 12:30."

Uh, 🧐. I didn't need her "tone" at that moment. Now, this isn't the part where I tell you I calmly explained to her why I instructed her as I did.

I was a little hype, but I did remember something key. Sudden disruptions in schedule or routine & also transitions are difficult for her. What she said wasn't a personal attack against me. Part of me may have felt , but I also understood she genuinely didn't understand why this was happening in this moment.

Yes, I come from parenting. That'll get the job done for about 5 seconds, but when she doesn't understand again we'll be right back here. So, how do we fix it?

Instead of putting the burden on the child,
and .

I explained to Jae the importance of being productive in our school hours. The responsibility I have when her support teachers aren't available. I set expectations for her in situations like this one. No more than 3 simple steps. She understood and she agreed.

. . . NO.
