Chris Kelley, our Executive Director, was lucky enough to get the opportunity to introduce longtime friend (Barret alum and Board member) Lisa Fite as the recipient of the Dana Davis Burkett Outstanding Woman in Banking award. Lisa is the best of us - incredible banker and even better person.

It was a beautiful evening at the Memphis Botanic Garden, full of infectious energy and amazing women. To make it even more special, our team got to spend time with so many alums dating back 20+ years. They are the leaders we need in our community!

Well done WIB committee: Katelyn Baker, Becky Bowers, Wendy Geurin Smith, Carrie Bullock, Andrea Gladney, Vicki Walk, & Jayme Beck.

Thank you Community Bankers of Michigan for 50 years of advocacy and leadership for our industry. Y’all really know how to throw a convention & welcome a southerner (our Executive Director/Chris Kelley). Conventions like these are always a great opportunity to catch-up with amazing community bankers from the state and national level. Including my ICBA related friends - Joseph Schneider, Jack Hopkins, Sean Murphy, MBA, Michael Burke Jr and David Lenoir.

And finally - from Chris Kelley - who’s spent most of his life vacationing on the Gulf Coast of Alabama and Florida - Lake Michigan and the Traverse City area is just stunning.
