Good morning, Bobcats! π₯ Summer Session Course Update
Session C: Poli 100 - Learn on YOUR schedule!
This course will be conducted entirely online and will require independently engaging with information in text, video, or audio format; contributing to the online discussion; completing writing assignments, and taking exams. Assignments include pretending to be a candidate for office and making a video recorded speech and making a meme that embodies one of the key concepts from the class. The course has NO SET TIMESLOT, so you'll do the work each week whenever it's convenient for you.
Congressional Politics -- is designed to give students an understanding of "the basics" of the system of politics in the U.S. Congress β the central institution in the American political system. Students will learn about the significance of congressional elections and representation, the structure and logic of legislative institutions, how they influence the legislative process, the roles of leadership, political parties, interest groups, lobbyists, and congressional relations with other political institutions.

We offer four sessions during the summer, two six-week, one nine-week, and one twelve-week course schedule.
Summer Session Financial Aid is available on a first-come, first served basis to admitted UC Merced students. This includes upcoming fall students!
Attending Summer Session can help you graduate on time, or early while saving you money. Take a harder course that requires more focus with increased access to faculty. You can even live on campus at a reduced housing rate.
