National Safety Month provides an opportunity to highlight efforts to prevent injury, and bring awareness to resources to help keep everyone safe and free of danger. It is extremely important to us to continue to educate ourselves on proper safety practices and enforce preventative steps. When it comes to our patients, residents, staff members, and community, safety is simply our top priority.
STEADI, Stopping Elderly Accidents, Deaths and Injuries, shares vital resources to prevent falls and improve health outcomes. STEADI recommends three key elements to preventing injury; screen patients for fall risks, access modifiable risk factors, intervene to reduce risk by using effective clinical and community strategies.

The Alzheimer’s Association is the leading voluntary organization in Alzheimer’s care, support and research. Terrace Health-Boise is proud to honor those with Alzheimer’s and those we’ve lost with this disease.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to walk with those in our community to bring awareness to this disease that affects so many.
