Say hi to CaringEdge Minot's new hospice volunteer coordinator. Dani has been with the CaringEdge Family for the past 5 years. She started her career as an office clerk, quickly moving into the role of office manager. When asked what she enjoys most about her new position she says," I love being the reason someone smiles. You never truly know what someone is going through in their personal life and being able to be a ray of sunshine is the greatest feeling in the entire world." Meet Kim at our CaringEdge in Bismarck. She brings a vast 21 years of experience, ranging from OR to ICU to case management. She provides the care that all families dream & hope their loved ones are receiving - she truly brings the passion and compassion for helping people!

They are a nursing family! Kim's husband is a nurse deployed to Ft. Riley Kansas working in the US Army and one of her son's just graduated nursing school. When they aren't talking all things nursing, Kim keeps busy with her four children, gardening & traveling. Kim, thanks for all you do!

"No one is prepared for the loss of someone they love, especially when it happens so quickly." Words that stick with us too, and give us purpose.

Betty's family wasn't prepared, but have been ever so thankful that we could step in and help during their time of need.

Not only did we help with Betty's physical needs, but her emotional needs as well; giving her the reassurance and showing her love when she was scared.

Betty was an Edgewood Sierra Hills Cheyenne resident. Edgewood staff eventually approached Betty's family about CaringEdge services. Betty's family patiently learned about support and services offered with the process of aging and eventually passing, so they would feel safe and at peace about their loved one. They provided convenience: convenient services of having the doctor come to Betty instead of arranging rides to appointment after appointment, convenience of handling her medications, convenience of being there immediately, convenience of helping for things such as ADLs, friendships, and spiritual cares.

Our team was not only there for Betty, but her family through that same emotional support, bringing them a peace of mind and comfort. Betty's family credited "they provide so much more than medical care. They became like family."

We are here for our patients and families, when they need us, wherever they call home. 💚💚

It's NURSE WEEK! Meet Kayla Muth from our CaringEdge in Bismarck team who shines with compassionate care! Kayla has been part of the CaringEdge team for a year and half, but overall has a vast 12 years experience in the nursing field.

As a nurse for 12 years, she joined our team a year and half ago and has been a tremendous team player. Without Kayla, our team wouldn't be who we are! She's always giving her all, passionate for quality care and truly wants the best for our patients and families!

When she's not caring for patients, you'll find Kayla with her husband Jared & three little girls who keeping them busy. She enjoys any time with family outside, coaching at a CrossFit gym, and cooking!

It's NURSES WEEK! Our teams wouldn't be able to do what they do without all our nurses. Jenalee Mollman with our CaringEdge in Bismarck, is one that gives her all. She is hilarious, kind, and compassionate.

Jenalee is our Director of Nursing for Hospice. A proud 2010 UofMary BSN grad, started her nursing career in Oncology, moving over to Edgewood in 2014 as their RN case manager to later joining our team in 2021. It truly was evident Hospice care was her calling!

Her passion in this profession is to be a knowledgeable and compassionate professional nurse that truly makes a difference in patients' lives through providing holistic nursing care.

Jenalee, you're a good one! We love everything you do for CaringEdge! 💚

Say hello to CAROL! Carol is a volunteer at CaringEdge in Minot. Volunteers through our program truly makes a difference, our team works together with families and their loved ones to set a goal to make each day the best it can be for them, and Carol does just that!

Carol began her volunteering journey at Edgewood. She would sit with residents on Hospice & bring them cookies, and said "I could have visited them just about every day, I had so much love for them." But when COVID hit, volunteering was halted. As restrictions were lifted, Carol made connections at CaringEdge in our Hospice department.

Carol's passion is praying, companionship, and bringing patients peace. She is amazed about the the calming presence she sees in people after praying with them. As she dedicates her time between three families, Carol can't think of anything better to do throughout her days. She's making a difference and creating peace of mind to all around.

Carol said it best, CaringEdge is a special place to be. 🫶

Meet Natalia Cismesia, Occupational Therapist at CaringEdge in Rapid City.

She's an OG of Elmhurst, IL, which is a suburb of Chicago. Once ready for college, her heart was dedicated to the OT field after shadowing a few therapists. She loved how they incorporate functional tasks into their treatments!

Natalia is an MA grad of UofMary, in Bismarck, ND and following graduation; she began her traveling career to explore different settings and different parts of the country. Her traveling experience took her to Kentucky to Tennessee to SD. She settled on Rapid City because of all the outdoor activities! We too think Rapid is amazing, and love that you love it just as much!
