ComForCare Home Care
ComForcare is a premier provider of private duty, non medical in-home health care in the Treasure Val
ComForCare Home Care in Boise is a premier provider of non-medical, private duty home care services for people of all ages. Our caregivers are rigorously screened, trained, and insured—providing your family member with a trusted and knowledgeable caregiver. They will assist people with the activities of daily living in any setting they call home, whether it be a private residence, nursing facility or an independent or an assisted living community.
Karen has been known to take clients fishing, garden with them, and always have the ability to make someone laugh. We know that every shift with her is packed with fun.
Julie is such a sweet soul, and a caregiver that looks for fun even in the most difficult situations. Her outlook on fun is one we aspire for ourselves.
seems to be the core value that is assumed to be the easiest, but when we are helping people in vulnerable positions it can be tricky to work in the fun. We are always looking for new ways to make every day brighter and every task more entertaining. Our caregivers have shared so many fun stories with us over the years, and we are excited to be able to share what they have said about this core value with you.
Michael is one of our caregivers that works a lot of nights. One of the highest compliments we have gotten is when families say they sleep better because they know he is there and ready to care for their loved one. This is what he had to say about how he remains present and engaged.
While we are there to help and brighten the lives of our clients, it is often them that bring light and joy to our lives. When we are with our clients the rest of the world and its worries stop, and it is a reprieve that fills our cups of servitude.
We have many wonderful CNA's that we work with, both within ComForCare and those we work alongside. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for always being a spring rain when we are weary.

Today we remember all those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our continued freedom.
The fear of losing independence, privacy, and the ability to take care of oneself is frequently a discussion we encounter in homes. These worries can lead to embarrassment and anxiety, as well as preventing our loved ones from receiving care that can enhance their quality of life. Our aim is consistently to assist individuals in rediscovering the enjoyment they once experienced in activities around them in their current stage of life. By enabling clients to stay in their home of choice, they are able to keep their independence longer and maintain their dignity and self expression.

When our family started ComForCare in the Treasure Valley it was after Steve found his passion for serving as a caregiver with his father-in-law. Our family has been involved in serving our community in small ways over the years in many capacities. Through ComForCare we found our opportunity to turn that passion for caregiving and servitude into a long term adventure.
Care like family from our clients perspective extends past the home and caregivers into our office as well.
Spring offers a wonderful opportunity for older adults to engage in meaningful and enjoyable activities. Here are some ideas:
-Planting and gardening. Gardening can be a great way to connect with nature, enjoy the outdoors, and engage in physical activity.
-Walking can provide numerous health benefits, including reducing stress and improving cardiovascular health.
-Engaging in arts and crafts can be a fun and fulfilling activity for older adults. Spring-themed crafts such as flower arranging, painting or creating birdhouses can be a great way to express creativity and provide a sense of accomplishment.

What does Care Like Family mean to one of our amazing caregivers?
When it comes to planning for retirement, it's always important to consider how your taxes come into play. Understanding how your income will be taxed in the future makes a difference in how you invest, save, and spend your money now.
Be sure to take advantage of any tax credits and benefits available to older adults. It's still crucial to plan as much in advance as possible. By working with an advisor and staying informed about tax changes, you can properly prepare for the future.
Staying connected with your loved ones is incredibly important to their well-being. Video calling is a great way to stay in touch with your family, no matter where you are in the world. It helps people at home combat any feelings of loneliness or isolation.
ComForCare Home Care Meridian, ID office was started by our family in 2014 after our family's own need for in home care. This started a passion in Steve as he learned more about what Home Care is and the relationships built between caregivers and their clients. We walk into every opportunity with the memory of our journey through Home Care, and with the desire to leave each place and person better than when we arrived. This is what it means to our owners to Care Like Family.

Meet the Owners - Steve and Wendy Kalina
Grandparents, Outdoorsy, Called to Serve Others
“We take the time to go above and beyond.”
When the time came for us to embark on the next stage of our professional lives together, it wasn’t long before we knew just what kind of business we wanted to open. The need for quality home care wasn’t new to our lives. This need had already impacted our own family on a very personal level, when Steve spent six months living in Albuquerque, states away from the rest of the family, to be the primary caregiver for Wendy’s dad.
We understood the need for compassionate, above-and-beyond in-home care, and the thought that we could provide that much-needed peace of mind to other families was incredible. We knew this was what we’d been called to do.
