It’s Super Bowl weekend and some of you may know that our fearless cofounder, Steve Young, played for the 49’ers!
He was inducted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2005 and the 49’ers retired his jersey number in 2008!
Sophie’s Place is made possible by the foundation he and his exceptional wife Barb created, The Forever Young Foundation, and we could not be more grateful.
So I guess you could say that we are San Francisco 49ers fans…😉
Go niners! 🏈✨

About Sophie's Place
Sophie’s Place was established in loving memory of singer, songwriter, and friend, Sophie Barton. These dedicated spaces are music therapy rooms built in children’s hospitals that treat young people suffering from pain, chronic illness, and serious injury. They provide an integrative medical approach to prescriptive medicine; assisting physical therapy through body movement, alleviating pain, and supporting cognitive health by rewiring the brain synapses. While most people know music has an extraordinary power to bring comfort and peace to the soul, recent clinical studies have proven that music therapy offers a new evidence-based, integrative medical approach in treating these young hospital patients. Music Changes Everything!

It’s week 2 of the Wasatch Adaptive Sports campaign!
For less than the cost of a monthly Netflix subscription, you can support Wasatch Adaptive Sports students as they pursue their goals and the power of recreation! In May only, receive a special gift when you sign up to donate $15/monthly or more.
WAS parent TyAnne writes:
“WAS monthly donors will not change the world on a macro level in one month. But they will change a life forever over the course of a program or season. Your monthly donation changes the connectedness of individuals who might have limited means or social support… When that one participant gains more confidence because of the program you support they will reenter society on a different level adding their voice and contributing to society in a way no one else can. By connecting these participants, you give hope, eliminate depression, decrease the likelihood of many of the negative social ills associated with disability life.”
There are many ways to become an adaptive ally. Visit wasatchadaptivesports.org/ally (link in bio) to learn more.
There’s nothing more beautiful than seeing a heart that is changing.
