Student athletes in Mesquite ISD form bond at book club Mesquite ISD quarterback and wide receiver for Poteet High School formed a book club with his teammates in the school’s library. NBC 5’s Laura Harris has more.

If you pre-ordered you can pick up in the front office. If you would like to purchase one you can pay in the front office with cash or card. Any extras are FIRST COME FIRST SERVE. $75.00 each

Students attending summer acceleration or credit recovery at PHS- classes begin Monday, June 3. Check skyward for class schedules. The summer schedule and Bus route schedule is below.

🍴Mesquite ISD Food & Nutrition Services will offer FREE summer meals for children 18 and under. Enjoy free breakfast and lunch—no registration or qualifications needed, and children do not have to be enrolled in MISD to participate. Meals are served Monday through Thursday at participating sites.

Poteet graduation is Saturday, May 25 at 4:00pm. All graduates will report to Poteet High School at 11:30 and will ride chartered buses to the Curtis Culwell Center. Students will not be allowed to have phones so make plans in advance.💚🎓

Today our seniors walked the halls of the schools in our feeder pattern. Getting them across the stage took people from kindergarten all the way through high school. The joy and tears today were shared by so many. Thank you to everyone that made this day possible. You all should be incredibly proud of these Poteet Alumni!

Our Head Baseball Coach, Jason Wright, has officially retired from coaching. Coach Wright has spent the last 29 years in education giving his life to kids on and off the field. He spent 13 years as a Head Baseball coach with the last 6 being at Poteet. He collected 144 wins during his career. Thank you Coach Wright for all you have done to bring this program back to prominence and for the knowledge and wisdom you gave to the players along the way. We wish you the very best in the next chapter of your life.
