Naturopathic Doctors (NDs) follow six core principles that serve as a philosophical platform for everything they do and guides diagnosis and treatment. One of these six guiding principles is the healing power of nature.
The healing power of nature recognizes the body’s inherent ability to heal itself. The cells of your body are working continuously to self-repair and regenerate. NDs work to identify what genetic, environmental and lifestyle factors can slow or prevent optimal healing and recovery.
By removing those obstacles and adding in additional naturopathic therapies, NDs can optimize and enhance the natural healing power of the body.
