MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- Milwaukee County Parks is hosting a third hiring event for seasonal positions Thursday, May 16.

County Parks says they're looking to fill around 400 seasonal positions, including park workers, horticulturalists, lifeguards, aquatics, food and beverage, golf maintenance, golf pro shop, recreation/admission, park operations workers and more.

Hourly rates range from $9.68 per hour to $19.79 per hour for select roles.

The hiring event will take place from 2 p.m.-6 p.m. at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center at 1531 W. Vliet Street in Milwaukee.

Parking is free and walk-ins are welcome.

Are you ready to enter an exciting career as a Medical Assistant?
Please note that MAAPET is an on-the-job training initiative. Individuals interested in joining the program undergo an employment screening process. If selected, they are hired by one of our four healthcare system partners to participate in MAAPET training and subsequently become employees of the respective health care system.
It's important to emphasize that MAAPET is a tuition-free program. In addition trainees receive compensation and benefits while attending training sessions for 40 hours per week over a duration of 14 weeks. Upon successful completion of the MAAPET program and passing the certification test, you will begin on your career as a medical assistant.
