Did you know...that JA volunteers come from all around our community?!?
"I thought the experience with the students was very fun and engaging it was a good opportunity to show students how important real-life situations can affect your overall lifestyle. I thought the overall set up was excellent and very beneficial to the point that everything was to the point, and it helped to be able to guide the students on what to do based on the information provided in the binders during the one-hour training. I felt that the group that I worked with had a lot of takeaways and was very good at discussing their situations and thinking about what you can do to make it work. I had a lot of laughs and ah ha moments!”

"I found so much joy in watching the kids look around JA BizTown when first arriving in the morning! They were so excited and ready to learn more about each business. I was stationed at Pieper Power and when my group of kids joined me in the room, they eagerly put on the safety vest and hat and got into character. Our CFO said, “This is a dream come true!”, after I gave them the overview of the business and had them each review their job descriptions at their workstations. Now that I’ve volunteered once, I know that I’ll be back!”

"All I can say is WOW!! JA is an amazing organization that educates and prepares our youth for the real world. It was truly an honor to be able to volunteer at the JA Finance Park. I believe that EVERY student should experience this financial literacy opportunity. Being a former teacher, who now works for a financial institution, this was the best of both worlds. To see the AHA moments while the students were learning about budgeting was priceless. This created an eye-opening experience that each child AND volunteer left with more knowledge than when they got there.”
