We are thrilled to announce our final scholarship recipient, MeArah Cornelius. MeArah is entering her first year at Jackson State University after attending Brown Deer High School. MeArah has been involved in a wide array of extracurriculars including Varsity Basketball, Varsity Track and Field, volunteering at Guest House, and a member of Top Teens of America.

MeArah will pursue a degree in Business Marketing and follow her passion of influencer marketing for female athletes. We are excited to watch her talent grow and see the amazing work she’ll accomplish!

We are excited to announce our scholarship recipient, Sugey Contreas! Sugey recently graduated from Carmen High School. She'll be studying advertisement and communication at Marquette University. Sugey has been very active in extracurriculars and building her resume holding positions at Lead2Change, Teens Grow Greens, Walters Realty Group, The Multicultural Entrepreneurial Institute, and MKE REC.

Sugey uses her strength and independence as a driving factor in her accomplishments. Her past experiences allowed her to find passion and fulfillment in digital media. We know Sugey will accomplish amazing things. Congratulations!

We are so proud to announce our 2024 scholarship recipient, Tamera Hughes. Tamera is starting her first year at Fayetteville State University after graduating from Rufus King High School. Tamera has shown she is a true leader throughout her years of high school participating in Student Government, Honors Society, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, and extensive volunteer work.

Tamera doesn't let anything stop her from reaching her goals and started her own business Sophomore year of High School. We are inspired by Tamera and we cannot wait to see how her passion to support her community through marketing and public relations will help create true change.

Congratulations, Tamera! We can’t wait to see what she’ll accomplish next!

Deb Steltz Mueller and I are co-chairs of this year's Lutheran Home Foundation, Monarch Ball. It's going to be a great night as we celebrate our amazing residents and staff, and raise valuable funds that will allow the Lutheran Home and Harwood Place to continue to serve our Seniors with the love, care and dignity they deserve.
