Hello, Repairers. It is with deepest sadness that we inform you that one of our beloved volunteers, Amari Smith, was killed by a reckless driver over the weekend. He was weeks away from graduation and aspired to own his own barber shop. Anyone who knew him could tell you how kind, good-natured, and hard-working he was. He helped the community. Now let's help his family, as they haven't the funds to cover his funeral. Thank you for your generosity, and may everyone affected by his loss eventually find peace, though none of our hearts will fully heal.

When Milwaukee's amazing nighttime shelters close in the morning, where do the shelterless go?
Some go to work, some attend to business, and some visit us at Repairers of the Breach, where they can eat a good meal, have a shower, don some fresh clothes, and work on getting that better job and/or permanent housing!

Hello, Repairers! The weather is much more mild right now, but our emergency warming room is still open, which is good because all this melting snow means lots of mud outside! Spread the word that we are open at 7 pm every night until March 31st for anyone who needs it.
Greetings, Repairers! Your warm hearts are warming hands, and your contributions are especially welcome as our furnace needed repairs, and a pipe caused some water damage. Indeed, it's expensive running a shelter, but it's worth it to know that we're helping to keep the unhoused off the streets and out of the deadly cold. Thank you!
