“I had an amazing experience at the Marquette physical therapy clinic! My recovery from an ACL tear wasn’t easy, but Lydia was a great physical therapist and helped me get to where I am today. I’m grateful for everything the clinic has done for me.” -Caroline
Meet the latest addition to our therapy team: Kate Gintoft, PT, DPT, CSCS, COMT!
Kate graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from University of Miami in 2009. She is Residency-trained in orthopedic manual therapy and is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. She has been trained in dry needling techniques and cupping. Kate recently completed a Yoga Teacher Training and enjoys making yoga more accessible to her patients by catering it to their needs. Kate’s favorite thing about being a PT is thinking outside of the box and helping her parents optimize their routines so they can do what they love for as long as possible.

It’s been one week since Joanne finished her clinical with us, and we’re all already missing her. Good luck DPT-6s on your fourth and final clinicals!
“My PT experience at the Marquette PT Clinic was fantastic! Joanne and Brent validated my symptoms and gave me the tools to be successful in managing them. My PTs listened to me and supported me along the way, which made me feel confident that I was going to get better. All the PTs and staff contributed to the positive and accepting environment that I felt throughout my care.” -Sophia
We love a dynamic duo! 🕺🕺 TJ is just the latest to crush his rehab with Stephen. Who’s next??
“Marquette PT clinic was the best medical experience I have ever had. They helped me be stronger than before my injury, worked with me while I was out of state over Christmas, and we had great conversations all the while. I looked forward to therapy every week and cannot recommend them enough.” - TJ

Education Spotlight!
This week, our physical therapists Brent, Susana, Stephen and Trenton participated in an interdisciplinary educational program on the issue of temporomandibular disorder (TMD) with the Marquette School of Dentistry and the Medical College of Wisconsin. We believe in the importance of programs like this that help spread practitioner awareness of TMJ care and the impact conditions like this can have on patients’ quality of life.
“Interprofessional education events like the TMD workshop teach students the importance of providing coordinated team-based care and how crucial that is for our health care system as they embark on their careers as health professionals.”

We can’t thank Maggie enough for all her contributions! Wishing you the best!
We are still in denial... But we have to formally say goodbye to Maggie-- our wonderful billing and patient accounts specialist. She has been an integral part of the NRC beginning and growth. She is moving to a different position at Marquette and we wish her all the best. Her role in patient advocacy exemplified our mission of removing barriers to access excellent therapy. We have some big shoes to fill but thankful for the footprint to guide us 💚
A t-shirt AND an exercise band?? It really must be the season of giving 🎁
Sam Moir has been an invaluable member of the MUPT clinic team for the last year. Colleagues and patients alike have been fortunate to work with her. We wish her all the best on her next chapter out east!

We asked Matt if he ever gets tired of carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders. Apparently he doesn’t even sweat it 🌎
“I’ve never experienced a type of injury like this that has required surgery and such a long recovery time, therefore I was quite nervous on how well I would be able to recover my shoulder. Lydia at Marquette PT was quite adamant in reassuring me that I would reach my goal of full functionality again, and understood my goals, working diligently to help me get back to everyday living. Through a personalized exercise plan and lot’s of stretching, I am now happily ready to get back to playing hockey and other activities which I am incredibly grateful for. Thank you Lydia.” -Matt
When you impress your PT with your ability to balance and multitask (high-fiving AND thumbs-upping counts as multitasking, right?)
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water… it was!! Max is all rehabbed up and ready to keep hammering his exercise goals 🦈
“My experience with MUPT was fantastic!! Jeff Wilkens and the rest of the clinic team played a critical role in my recovery. They prioritize patient-centered care, which meant that I always had a personalized approach to my recovery/exercise plan. I felt like they met me where I was at and accompanied me throughout my journey. My questions never went unanswered, and I appreciated the unique opportunity to engage with the PT students rotating throughout the clinic! I am so grateful for MUPT and would highly recommend the clinic to any community member in Milwaukee.” -Max

"I came to Marquette physical therapy after an extended period with an undiagnosed shoulder pain that was preventing me from doing even simple things, let alone the physical practices I loved. Lydia determined is was a rotator cuff injury and set me on a course of therapeutic massage and exercises that got me back into yoga and martial arts within a few months. The environment was fun and friendly, and most importantly fixed my shoulder issue. Will definitely be back the next time I'm injured." -Devin
We love it when our patients absolutely crush their rehab. Here’s to you, Robin!
"My experience at Marquette Physical Therapy Clinic was exceptional. I could always count on being greeted by name and with a smile. Susana was my therapist and it’s evident that she genuinely cares about her patient's wellbeing. I had ongoing lower back pain for years that was feeling considerably better after few visits. I was provided with very helpful information and exercises, that have reduced my pain and provided more flexibility. I can’t thank enough for the personalized attention provided to me. Thank you for making me feel so much better." -Robin
Sonia was lucky enough to show off some matching shorts with her new MUPT t-shirt. We love a fashionista 💁🏻♀️
“Susana has not only gotten me through multiple injuries and back into doing the sports I love, but has also taught me important habits to be able to lead an active and pain-free life. The PT clinic and everyone that works there is an absolute treasure!” -Sonia
