Meet Logan, of Log's Hot Sauce! "Log's Hot Sauce was launched in Summer 2020 after I found myself locked in my house during the early days of the pandemic with nothing but a full kitchen and too much time on my hands. After testing out different salsa recipes to enjoy with my meals, I decided to explore the world of hot sauce experimentation. After sharing samples of my new creations with friends on Instagram, I received enough positive feedback to make the decision to start a small cottage food operation.

Today, I sell a variety of local, homemade hot sauce at markets. Depending on seasonality, I have anywhere from 5-8 flavors of hot sauce available to sell at my booth. The lineup of sauce flavors ranges from mild (for the average Minnesotan's palette) to super hot (to appease the pepper heads).

The flavors I usually have available at markets are:
Regular Ol' Hot Sauce (Red Jalapeno)
Breakfast Sauce (Habanero, Jalapeno, Bell Pepper)
Serrano Lime
Mango Habanero
Pineapple Habanero
Garlic Habanero
Ghost Pepper

Nokomis Knitting Company is a husband and wife team based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We create handmade and handcrafted fiber items, sometimes using old fashioned knitting needles and other times using our hand-cranked circular sock knitting machines that are based on machines manufactured in the early 1900’s.

We love to literally crank out a variety of products using quality materials and practiced craftsmanship. Our specialty of course is socks, but we also make modern hanging lanterns, solar rechargeable mason jar lights for your deck, porch or patio, fingerless mitts, kitchen & bath scrubbies and more! Meet Edvin Niz, of Colibri Guatemalan Jewelry. He was born and raised in Guatemala, where he learned how to work with The Jade Stone, the same stone The Mayan culture used for rituals, and social status. Now based in Richfield, he designs beautiful, unique, high quality, affordable, rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets. He also uses Sterling Silver to make unique one-of-a-kind designs. Edvin’s goal is not only to sell his jewelry, but also to educate people about the Mayan Culture.

Jeanna Pappas creates cat-focused comics and retro-styled posters and graphic art. They design posters, tees, and gifts by drawing with ink on paper in a gritty-but-whimsical style inspired by 1970s American counterculture, traditional Japanese printmaking, manga, and early video game art. They also do custom portraits of people and animals.

Meet Al (Alyssa) of Al's Candles! 'I love candles but I found them to be wasteful and expensive, so I started making my own! I use soy wax and cotton wicks for a long and clean burn. I also use recycled or recyclable containers - many of which I gather from neighbors in Nokomis!'

Meet Kathleen, of Katdia Art and Big Woods Gathering! "I have always loved creating art and visiting art festivals was one of my favorite summer activities growing up. In 2020 I was inspired to create more art in my free time and I started my art business, Katdia Art. My art is heavily inspired by my travels and Minnesota. I use paper and tape to create whimsical landscapes, colorful patterns, and precise building replicas. I am very excited to continue creating and growing as an artist this year and onward! In addition to art, I also love gardening. It is so beautiful to spend time in nature and see your hard work flourish in the form of amazing plants. The beauty, variety, and flavor of freshly grown produce is truly unmatched! In the past couple of years I have expanded into new garden spaces so that I can grow even more vegetables as well as flowers. The garden brings me so much joy, and I love sharing that joy with others!"
