Today is another joyful day at Fiant Dental. For the 4th consecutive year, the office was listed in the annual Mpls/St. Paul Magazine "Top Dentist" January issue. The award is a special honor because it's peer-nominated - Fiant Dental is where dentists go when they need care. We're the dentists' dentist. The fantastic staff deserves all the credit. Our Fiant Dental Tooth Squad joined hundreds of other hearty (and big-hearted!) souls in Saturday’s “Red Undie Run”. The run is sponsored by the Aliveness Project and raises money for HIV/AIDS prevention and care. Spirits were high as we ran the length of the Minneapolis Stone Arch Bridge. - and back - on this chilly December day.

Fiant Dental has been keeping people in smiles for decades. So it’s super heartening to make the MPLS/StPaul magazine’s Top Dentist list in this year's January issue. The Fiant Dental staff had a blast last Saturday taking part in The Aliveness Project's annual "Red Undie Run". Despite the 18-degree temperature, we joined some 300 other runners to dash across the Stone Arch Bridge... and back! The run raises money for the treatment and care of HIV/AIDS in Minneapolis. Fiant Dental is proud to be a long-time sponsor of The Aliveness Project.

On a happy note, I was thrilled to make the Mpls/StPaul Magazine's 2020 Best Dentist list. It's especially humbling since the nominations for the award come from fellow Twin City dentists. I know many of the other dentists on the list and it's an absolute honor to be in their company. Though my John Henry may appear on the list, the award truly belongs to the amazing staff at Fiant Dental - a remarkably bright, fun, and hard-working crew. They're the best. At the moment we're all sheltered in place but will return to work soon to continue Fiant Dental's tradition of "dentistry for the joyful". We can't wait to see our patients and get back to business as usual.

In compliance with Minnesota Governor Walz’s stay-at-home order, Fiant Dental is closed to routine, elective and non-urgent patient visits until Monday, April 12th. We all need to stay home and stay well until the pandemic is resolved.

Until April 12th, so that our Fiant crew can stay home and stay well, we’ve trimmed office hours. We’ll be in the Fiant office and answering phones Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.. Fridays we’re closed. Office phone is 612-827-7400.

We’re still available to treat dental emergencies during this stay-at-home period. So please call if you have any urgent dental needs. One of our dentists is on call 24-hours a day and will respond to your call promptly.

Meanwhile, keep washing those hands. Get some exercise. Binge watch Netflix or Amazon Prime. Start an indoor garden. Keep a journal. Call – not text – 3 friends/family each day. Help where and how you can. These times call for grace, compassion and patience.

How you can help during the coronavirus outbreak As the coronavirus outbreak upends many aspects of daily life, we’ve compiled a list of ways you can help others.

Fiant Dental got a plea this afternoon for gloves and masks from a patient who's an ER physician at Children's Hospital. Her hospital is running out of these basic supplies. Our dental office is too. The only difference? We're shutdown for the next 10 days because of COVID-19 - Children's ER isn't. Here, Dr. Graham receives a hero's welcome with a donation of gloves and masks to the Children's staff. We're all in this together...

COVID-19 Update:

To support public health objectives to manage the COVID-19 pandemic, and to comply with directives from Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and the Minnesota Board of Dentistry, Fiant Dental is closed for patient care until Monday, March 30.

We are answering our phone, however, during our normal clinic hours, Monday - Thursday, 7 am - 7 pm. Friday, 7 a.m. - 2 p.m.. If you have a dental emergency or questions, please give us a call. (612-827-7400). Look here on Facebook for future updates on the status of the practice shut-down.

Meanwhile stay home, stay safe, wash your hands, call your mom, and help someone in need. We'll all get through this.
