As founder and executive director, I just returned from 8 days in Ireland 🇮🇪, a visit with Irish friends, and video research for the African American Registry’s annual virtual study abroad program. This year's program theme probes the history of the country's African immigrants and asylum seekers. The country has a Gaelic Indigenous ‘otherness’ and slave trade past, resulting in current mixed opinions. I'm on the campus of Trinity College, founded in 1752. I spent time in Glenncariff, Cork, and Dublin, a beautiful country with an exciting history. I will share a few pictures soon.
