Our Story

The Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Minneapolis offers weekly public meditations, basic Buddhist teachings, and monthly traveling teacher retreats.

The group offers a relaxed social atmosphere where questions and critical evaluations are encouraged! Meditations are guided in English and involve visualization and mantra recitation, allowing space, clarity and joy to naturally arise.

Public meditations are guided by members of the Diamond Way Buddhist Center of Minneapolis, located in Uptown. The center is part of an international network of over 650 meditation centers in the Karma Kagyu tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. These centers were founded and are directed by Lama Ole Nydahl according to the wishes of H.H. 16th Karmapa. They are now under the spiritual guidance of H.H. 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje.
