Friday Night Come Out To Play!

Come shake your bones at the Barebones Skeleton Ball this Friday night, September 27th. We'll have games, music, and so much fun!

Join Franconia Sculpture Park and In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theatre on October 6th from 1-4pm at Franconia for a mask-making workshop! You will learn the basics of how to create and customize a paper mache mask.

We encourage participants to wear their finished masks to the Puppets in the Park Halloween Hayride at Franconia Sculpture Park on October 19th!

Cost: This workshop is available on a sliding scale fee system

Ages: This is an all ages workshop, but participants younger than 16 should be accompanied by an adult

Registration is required as there are a limited amount of spots in this class.

We Wiggle Dolls is a (mostly) New York-based puppetry collective focused on presenting as varied a selection of electrifying puppetry to as wide an audience as possible. Having started as a puppet slam (a showcase of short form works presented by 8 different artists) before expanding into a wider variety of performance formats and well as publishing, our mission remains bringing the full spectrum of modern puppet works to a new audience- growing the community of puppet performers and appreciators in tandem.

New York has been a wonderful environment to expand the world of puppetry, but a year into this work, the city feels too small and metropolitan a venue compared to the entirety of the American east coast and midwest! The time has come to answer the call of the open road: to squeeze into a van and embark on a DIY puppet show tour!

Members of the central We Wiggle Dolls crew have joined forces to bring you a tonally and stylistically diverse evening of modern adult-geared puppetry from ourselves, as well as a performer local to your scene! Our ranks run the gamut: from avant garde heroes of street theatre cut loose alongside cardboard butchers, to venerable traditionalists, and even performers completely new to the form!

Do not miss the greatest (and possibly only) NYC-originated DIY puppet show coming to your town this year!

Spencer Arevalo (he/they)
is a local puppeteer, theater artist, and
educator. Originally from Texas, he received his BA from University of Minnesota Theater Arts Program, and has loved and lived in South Minneapolis since. They have a love for environmental sustainability and creating community through puppetry! You may seem them at a local coffee shop, or on their porch with their cats. He is very excited to be a part of the HOBT family and continue to grow with them as an artist!
