There is a lot that goes into supporting your kiddo in an activity or sport. I don't have to tell you what you already know about the practices, the driving, the rehearsals, the equipment, the money, the *time*. What I can tell you is that documenting moments like these- where you can tell they came alive, you see their pure joy, you know they will remember what it felt like- it's so worth it to know you'll always remember what it looked like.

I loved seeing all the mites skate their hearts out at the Bloomington Mite Jamboree, and I'd love even more to help you document any of life's wild rides.

A little sneak from yesterday’s newborn session with baby C and her fam. Just the sweetest, most alert bright eyed lil babe. Despite our best efforts she was not about to close her eyes and miss out on any of the fun, and I’m not mad about it. Swipe till you get to the sweetest snuggle, pinky swear it will be worth it. 🤍.

Just when you think you’ve seen the cutest squishy sleepy baby, this little lady comes along. A fun thing I learned during mini sessions this year is that the piggy back ride is not as universal a skill as one would think!?!?! So many interesting techniques observed- like stepping a foot on their shoulder or climbing with your knees on their back 🫣🫠. The good news is I got great shots while everyone tried to figure it out 💫

I’ve had the ab👏🏻 sa👏🏻 lute👏🏻 joy👏🏻of photographing this family now for about 3 years, and yes I did almost tear up when Holden smiled and waved at me when we all arrived. When we started to walk down the path and he reached up to hold my hand. When he asked me what my favorite insect was. When he asked to take some photos with my camera and he knew I would let him because I’ve trained him well 💁🏻‍♀️. When you get hear about the ups and downs and daily joys a family experiences, and have a damn good time doing it. Wanna join that club with me? I’d be honored🤍

I still don’t know how to make reels🙃. I’ll get there (*maybe*). But for now I’ll keep showing up on here the best way I know, giving you a glimpse of how you shine.

The best part about your business is you! Showing your face doesn’t always come easy (that’s why I’m behind the camera 🤗) but I promise you will look and feel amazing, and will the have images that make whatever it is you do come alive.

Give me static photos forever. Fill my feed with a ✨moment✨, that if not for a click of a shutter, would one day fade. It would probably hang around, the memory of his smile and the way it made you beam light right back, but with out the image? Time clouds and blurs. I want to make that photo for you, and I promise you don’t need new clothes or a giant kitchen or a scenic forest view. You need the ones who make you feel alive, and the ones who come alive with you. I’ll take care of the rest.

It’s surreal to feel your heart beat in your hands, to see your own eyes lock onto your face, to hold what until now you’ve only been able to imagine. Those first few days swirl with euphoric love and bone deep weariness; when you look back you can remember the moments, but not always the details. And that’s what I’m here for. I’ll keep what you’ve always felt in every frame 🤍

Do you know how much I’ve missed fresh 48 sessions? The answer is a lot. I’ve missed them A. LOT. Here’s a little nugget of love, just 24 hours after he arrived🤍. So if someone could go ahead and reach out today and let me know they want these too, that’d be great. Ok thanks!

I take photos. I see you running and chasing, smiling and jumping. Kissing and hiding and inching closer and tangling up your fingers with someone else’s. Holding onto someone maybe because I asked you to, but also because where would we be without our people? And won’t you someday want to look back and say I didn’t think I’d remember the feel of her hand in mine, but there it is, her fingers and mine, woven together, tightly bound.
