All NMC Events are all planned by members of our fantastic Programming Staff! These events allow for team competition and bonding amongst our campers. Last up on for our event spotlights is the most famous NMC event! Who’s ready for a little madness! Introducing Maroon Madness🎉

What is Maroon Madness?? Maroon madness is the biggest event at NMC! It is exactly what it sounds like: madness. Every camper from every family group will be placed in an open area, and each family group will be given a few thousand tasks to complete. Whichever family group completes EVERY task first, wins! Maroon madness follows are famous chant out! Make sure to bring all your energy and a change of clothes to this event! 🎉🏆

What happens on the shows??? The daily show gets some energy flowing through the campers after lunch! This P-Staff committee is in charge be in charge of planning and executing those shows. The late night show is very similar to the Daily Show, getting campers excited for our night time events with fun games and competition! 🎉🏆

What is Major Mixer??? This event gives students the opportunity to hear from current students, alumni, professors, and ambassadors about the college in which they have declared a major. Our P-Staff committee has organized panel members, topics of conversations, and questions for speakers. You will connect with people in your major and meet people in same major before classes even start! Our undeclared students will attend the major mixer panel of interest! 📚✏️🔍

What is the Scavenger Hunt??? The scavenger hunt has become a favorite of the campers over the last two years. Campers get to travel all across and familiarize themselves with campus through a fun, competitive event. The P-Staffers have planned routes, stops, clues, etc. for campers and counselors to follow. Campers will travels with their pods! Make sure to bring your walking shoes for this one! 👟🏆

What are Morning Moves??? These games, activities, crafts, etc. occur all across campus during the morning of each day of camp. A few examples include ultimate frisbee, power hour at the sanderson, swing dancing, tie dying, karaoke, etc. Our counselors and buddy staffers will help split off and direct their group where to go and spend time participating! Our P-staffers will help facilitate each game/activity! 🎨⚽️☕️🏆

What is FGO??? All family group pods compete against other pods to earn points for their family group through a variety of very unorthodox and fun games. The P-Staff committee have hand selected games that will be sure to be a great time. Our P-Staff will be in charge of facilitating each game and our counselors and buddy staffers are there to cheer on the campers! 🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️👟🏆
