This year, camp will rin from June 23-28, 2024 at The UM School of Music🐻
Join us in a safe, fun, and musical environment that encourages all campers to achieve their very best - from the elementary beginner, to the all-state level musician, to the middle school student who just loves playing 🎶
Instruction on bass, cello, viola, and violin will be provided by University faculty, Symphony members, and Missoula-area private instructors who are experienced in a variety of pedagogical techniques, including those of Shinichi Suzuki 🎻 There will be solo and ensemble performance opportunitie and a residential program available for the older students🙌

This past weekend, the amazing Missoula Symphony Orchestra played a special season finale: "JERRY HERMAN: THE BROADWAY LEGACY CONCERT," featuring a cast of four New York Broadway and concert stars.
Jerry Herman is a legendary composer/lyricist of the musical theatre. His creations include "Hello, Dolly," "Mame" and "La Cage aux Folles". Now, a new generation of musical theatre enthusiasts is joyfully rediscovering his musical legacy.
During the week prior to the concert, one of the show’s stars - Jason Graae – taught a master class to a select group of University of Montana students. To everyone’s surprise and delight, two of the students performed solos at the weekend concerts. Mikayla Kay was Saturday’s student guest performer and Lucy Schindler was Sunday’s. On stage, both students were presented with a scholarship from the Jerry Herman Foundation. Congratulations on your performances and scholarships, Mikayla and Lucy!
