Congratulations to Kim O'Connor of Lewis and Clark Elementary! Kim is our 2024 Elementary Educator of the Year, and teaches 4th grade.
Her nominations spoke of tremendous talent and skill with teaching emotional regulation, finding unique ways to increase learning in her classroom, and creating a safe, loving, exciting space for her students to grow.

Congratulations, Jesse Dochnahl!!!!
Jesse was awarded the 2023-2024 High School Educator of the Year Award last night at Hellgate High School, with his biggest fans, the Pep Band, bringing the celebration!
Jesse is the band director at Hellgate, and has been nominated for this award consistently for the past 5 years, even while serving st other schools. It is a testament to his skills, passion for music and teaching, and the time he is able to spend helping develop so many students over 4 years of school that he is a very deserving recipient of this award.
Thank you to Brandon Dwyer for representing Stockman Bank, Bob Burns for Stockman's continued support of our Educator of the Year program, and Marcia Holland for representing MEF.

We have enjoyed seeing the growth and development of the Ag Program at Big Sky High School! Recently, funding through an MEF Classroom Grant enabled the program to purchase a Swine Breeder. This unique model helps students learn to inseminate and deliver piglets in a safe classroom environment, preparing them for real life experience in the barns at the Ag Center, and future career readiness!

Dave Rott joined the MEF Board of Directors in 2023. We are thrilled to have his support! Be like Dave, and support MEF today!

Crystal Thompson has assembled "comfort kits" for classrooms at Franklin Elementary. These baskets are filled with items to help students regulate their emotions and behaviors with the goal of keeping them in their classrooms before needing to go to the Counselors' offices. By staying in the classroom, students continue to participate and learn with their peers, and learn how to regulate themselves when they are stressed. Thanks, Crystal! These are wonderful!
