Judge limits scope of lawsuit challenging Alabama restrictions on help absentee ballot applications 08/26/2024

While many of the claims by voting rights activists were dismissed, the fact that the lawsuit continues under Section 208 of the Voting Rights Act is a reminder that our fight is far from over. We will persist in protecting the voting rights of disabled Alabamians and use this momentum to push for broader protections for all voters. The winding road to voting rights continues in Alabama.
