African drumming is a powerful therapeutic tool, excellent stress buster, and a very unique team building experience! No musical talent or know-how is needed- it is easy and fun. Drumming can reduce burnout, enhance creativity, energize and connect people, has been scientifically proven to improve health and wellness and creates harmony and unity. We will be using authentic West African djembes and ashikos, and other rhythm-makers to explore basic beginning West African drumming techniques and traditional songs as well as create some group rhythms. Participants will learn the basics and how to use with clients as well providing a team building activity for staff. Join us to laugh, play, build community, and much more!!
