Check it out. ⬇️

Join us Tuesday, June 13th at 7 PM for a special preview screening of Mama Bears, a film that follows the intimate journeys of two fundamentalist, evangelical Christian mothers who are now willing to risk losing friends, family, and faith communities to champion their kids—even if it challenges their belief systems and rips apart their worlds.

The screening will be followed by a conversation moderated by Josh Clinard, Associate Producer at PBS North Carolina, featuring filmmaker Daresha Kyi and Sara Cunningham, a Mama Bear who appeared in the film.

The event is free to attend, but registration is required! Check out the link in our bio to register.

Happy Pride Month! ’Tis the season to celebrate the past and present of our community. June is a time to recognize the rich history of the LGBTQ+ liberation movement, and toast to that history with all the special events that mark this month in many places across the country and world.

We are asking all of you and our friends around town, to show support for our friends and family at Cru Bar & Wine Store/ The Beaufort Coffee Shop!

This Saturday, make sure to drop in and grab your morning cup of coffee and remind this business that their efforts do not go unnoticed. We must show support to those who also show support.

So we ask that you all join in by stopping by Cru this Saturday March 11th for your morning coffee or your afternoon cocktail.

Incident raises concerns about LGBTQ safety in Carteret County 03/06/2023

We stand with Cru, the LGBTQIA Community, and our local Beaufort neighbors to condemn any form of violence, hate, or discrimination.

Cru has wholeheartedly opened their doors to the LGBTQIA youth of our community, as a place to be welcomely accepted. We will continue to support them and we hope you all will too.

One thing the LGBTQIA community here should not have to worry about, is their safety! If anyone has any information, please reach out to local enforcement.

[CCP has taken some time to regroup and regrow and we have some great things in motion for the year.]

Incident raises concerns about LGBTQ safety in Carteret County BEAUFORT - A decorative millstone cast with a Bible scripture was anonymously left in front of a local bar that supports the LGBTQ community Tuesday, Feb. 28 in Beaufort.

Whether you're le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, q***r, asexual, intersex, or Two-Spirit, be proud of who you are and your support for LGBTQ+ equality this Coming Out Day!

We first observed National Coming Out Day on October 11, 1988, on the anniversary of the National March on Washington for Le***an and Gay Rights as a reminder that one of our most basic tools is the power of coming out.

Rest Peacefully Matthew Shepard ❤💙💚💛💜

On the night of October 6, 1998, Matthew met Aaron McKinney and Russell Henderson at the Fireside Lounge in Laramie, Wyoming. McKinney and Henderson decided to give Shepard a ride home. They subsequently drove the car to a remote, rural area, and proceeded to rob, pistol-whip, and torture Shepard, tie him to a fence, and leave him to die–all because he was gay. It was reported that Shepard was beaten so brutally that his face was completely covered in blood, except where it had been partially washed clean by his tears. This crime was the impetus for the Matthew Shepard Foundation and he will never be forgotten!
