Wow, what a weekend!! We never imagined that 61 teams would answer the call for the 2020 Worlds in little ole Morehead City with just less than 6 weeks to pull it together, thank you all for being here and your patience as we worked to get you all placed with pit stalls! To our volunteers, all of you played such an important role to the success of this event and we can’t thank you enough for your time whether spent on land or on the water during racing! So many thank you’s are due to our sponsors, The Town of Morehead City, USCG, MCFD, MCPD, and all other federal, state, and local agencies involved in planning and supporting the success and safety of this event! Tow Boat Us Beaufort did a great job with recovery/towing of disabled race boats...and boy, unfortunately, were they busy!! Our fans, thank you all for your continued support and patience in less than ideal conditions to be a spectator from land, hoping for fewer challenges in 2021...please know that your safety is a high a priority for us as well as we deal with the unprecedented environment we find ourselves in currently! Teams are still arriving throughout the day and testing is scheduled for 12-4 today, “rules of the road” moving West down the ICW beyond the AB high rise bridge so be aware of boats traveling at high rates of speed during this time frame on the water!
